  • Lyndsey I think I am going to order the paper bags, medium and large as they should last a few campaigns. I am not ordering the plastic ones though. Also were you given 40 cats for both campaigns? I was given 20 of C8 and C9 so I definitely need to order more for C9. I think I will probably need 40-50 per campaign, but once it gets whittled down I may get away with a bit less. My territory has problems with putting cats out, hence why I need more than I should. I think cats are £4.86 for the first 3 packs of 5 (15 cats) and then 48p for each pack of 5 after that. SO if you wanted to order 40 cats then it would cost you £7.26.
    Avon Rep

    C8 - £417.09, C9 - £613.14:jC10 - £378.18
    C11 - £301.72, C12 - £284.92, C13 - £220.14,
    C14 - £194.36, C15 - £300.91

the reason why your salesleader has give you 20 books for each campaign is because thats what we get refunded for by avon.
yes we do pay for the books initially and once you place your first order we get a refund for those brochures.

remember you can backorder by 1 book so any houses that havent seen a book after this order is done can still be given that book
  • sometimes we sign up new reps that never bother to place an order...ignore phonecalls..just dissappered from the planet..lol then we salesleaders are out of pocket as avon wont refund us.

    not fair i know
  • i went out again tonight to collect some more of my books...didnt managed to get all back which means i gotta go out again tomorrow.

took me 2 hours wandering around my neighboorhood getting orders...as i have been doing avon for a while my customers always ask me to come in andhave a cuppa which can be tricky if you actually just want the brochure back.

but hey good customer service works lol so my total is now on £642 and still got till wednesday to place order.

oh and i will officially be a president club member from wednesday..yieppy

Two more orders, one for nearly £45!! Two women want me to come back tomorrow. So far my orders total £133.15 but after the free gifts and half the brochure money for this Camp plus brochures for next camp I probably won't make any money, but you have to speculate to accumulate huh?
Do people offer free gifts for every camp? Am thinking I won't in the next one, maybe every couple of camps to keep people interested?

    Lyndsey
I would judge each campaign on it's own merit
I do give free gifts every campaign but I do have a small but loyal customer base.
Initially I think until you hook some more orders and more so with you doing door to door, I would offer as the better weather is coming in folk will be in the garden maybe have other neighbours with them and seeing folk getting freebies is a great incentive.
But I agree with Caitlin too the watch is a great offer and would count too
so maybe just highlight the offer either by a flyer self printed of fold the page back or add a tab to the page.

I have just realised how close I am to HOV!! My sis had better orderfrom this camp!!
I am putting the orders in to get used to the system and put some codes in from HT10, clearance items as free g ifts, but it comes up as items from Camp 8 - will I get it at the price it's in HT10? There are no prices on the order forms online so not sure what I am being charged

yip HT10 is ordered with C8
and you will get charged what it says in HT10
If you click on View order and at the bottom
click subtotal it will allow you to view your prices and amounts etc.
like below hope that helps xxx

I have a question regarding what I should order as free gifts. I have 2 women that have ordered the facial filler so they are entitled to a free gift. They are both 50+ so wondered what you guys thought might be suitable for them?

I noticed just now in C7 that I can get Age Defying Overnight Corrective Hand Treatment for £3.00, BOGOF. Would it be rude to add this in as their free gift, I mean they did order anti ageing products and this is a pretty good deal and it would only be costing me £1.50 per customer...

I would if thats what they ordered
once you get used to your customers you will know what they like
I tend to buy things like day to day lip balm, foot lotion and handcreams
and also buy a lot of linen sprays folk seem to love them.
I just order stuff that is a bit cheaper and add it to my pile of freebies and it just means I have a choice when making up the order.

Do people order the paper bags and the other bags? Not sure how much I should order, or if I should bother?
Also, I got given 40 cats to start with, should I order 40 C9's for this order also - how much will that come up to?

I use the medium sized bags for their order form and samples
and add their stuff into small plastic bags as it is advertising again
folk tend to reuse bags nowadays and they will choose that over and asda bag.
and it gives folk the opertunity to ask who they buy from.
also the paper are rubbish for large orders.
But if you are doing a lot of orders maybe just use them for the bigger orders ;)

  • Karen - See I was thinking I could maybe buy the pedi scrub and get some of the linen sprays, as right enough I love these things too so I would assume that they are suitable for any age. I thought I could maybe throw in both as it wouldn't cost much and it is a good incentive for them to buy again. If they like the serum, they may buy it again and at £20 per product, I think it deserves a good freebie! True, I will get to know what they order so it will be easier in the future. Although I don't think I will offer a free gift next campaign, I will highlight the watch with a printed slip, did that this campaign with the beauty bag! I am trying to think of anything else I can run instead.

Well I am going out this evening to try and collect the 7 I put out on Sunday and collect the stragglers (about 15 of them). I am also going to go past the woman that said was going to drop off her order to me. I will put a slip through her door if she's not in to remind her that the order is due on Thur if she wants to place an order.

Avon Salesleader - I completely understand that a SL only gets refunded for 20 cats, but I have a territory of about 180 homes and there is no way you can cover that with 20 cats for 3 weeks. Luckily my SL gave me another 30 of C8 so I managed to go out with a large drop instead of the tiny ones I was doing before. Unfortunately for C9, I am going to have to order more cats as I only have the 20 again, I need another 30 or so:(

Lyndsey - Has your sister placed an order yet? I am so impatient I want to go round to the hairdressers and shop to see if I have any orders, it's hard to wait until Thursday:rotfl:
