Just a quick question on the new web site it shows you with a green tick that products are in stock does the yellow dots mean its not in stock cause i have a few???:o
I had one yellow dot, for the Soft and Save £5 thingy, and it turned up just fine, so it doesn't necessarily mean it will not show up, but you should be prepared for it not being delivered though, just in case.

I have left Avon previously because of unforeseen circumstances but hopefully I'm in it for the long run now. We have just had our second child 9he's 2 months old) and as my other half works both day and night shifts, it'll be a nightmare for me to return to my usual 9 to 5 so I'm hoping that Avon will enable me to subsidise his income enough so we can survive with out me going back to work. Finger's crossed! I am prepared to out the hours in.
I have been given 200 houses but only 15 C15 books and 15 C16 books so it's going to be a struggle especially if I don't get all my books back. I am collecting my first street later on so I'm hoping to get at least 4 orders from 27 houses. That's my personal aim!
Thanks also for all the tips and ideas. It's been so so helpful reading everyone's comments. xx
Just wanted to say welcome Vic! Or I should say, welcome back to avon!
I hope it goes well, and if you have any questions, come to us, we usually give a response pretty quickly, if we know the answer.
You have a large territory - good luck! If you run out of books don't be afraid to ask for more, I did and got another 30 which helped immensely.

Morning all!
ASM said she'd give me more territory but I won't have enough C16 books to cover it comfortably but I have the option of ordering more C16 books on the online order form as well as C17 books.
My question is this .... say I am ordering 6 packs of C16 and 12 pack of C17, are they charged separately (e.g 3 x C16 for £4.76 then 3 x 48p and then 3 x C17 for £4.76 then 9 x 48p) ... or do they bulk them together (e.g. 3 x C16 for £4.76 then 15 x 48p).
Hope that makes sense
I'll ask again as there's more people online now ... if anyone knows the answer I'd be muchos gratefulSmall business owner 🧵 Ex MSE comper 🏆 Student loan repayer 💴 Romanian dog rescuer 🐕 Hopefully a cost of living survivor 🤞🏻0 -
Hi all, another newbie here!
I had a leaflet through my letterbox yesterday recruiting for avon. There's already someone who does my street, but I'm just looking to do work, friends and family to start. The area manager (or whatever they're called) is coming to see me tomorrow to go through what I need to do. I have to say though that I'm confusing myself reading some of this thread! I didn't know you had 2 books on the go at once. I hope I'm not going to get muddled up!
I already have a part time job, and just looking to make a bit extra for the nice little things in life - a few more nights out instead of 1 every few months!
I'll be reading this thread with interest and hopefully gain a few hints and tips to help me along the way.
Welcome Pinkpig :hello:!
You will love avon, I love it, almost finished my first campaign, and it is brill, in fact its the best thing I have done in a while, so I am sure you won't regret it.
I made £56 profit this campaign, just in 3 weeks so I am very happy, it is also fun money for me and husband so means we get to go out for a meal/cinema more often which is nice coz we are on a DMP and have very few nice things now.
You don't have to have 2 books on the go at the same time, if you find it confusing at the beginning just have 1, as you gain in confidence you may decide to do 2 at once. It isn't difficult to run 2 at once if you split the road in two. I have one side of the street on one brochure and the other side of the street on the other brochure and that way they get used twice, saving me money on brochures.

I don't know if this explains it, as I have no idea, but this is what my online invoice says:
3 Pack(s) of C16 Brochures (3-for £4.76) Net £4.76
3 Pack(s) of C16 Brochures Net £1.44
3 Pack(s) of C17 Brochures (3-for £4.76) Net £4.76
9 Pack(s) of C17 Brochures Net £4.32
Hope that helps, I don't really understand to be honest, I just know that they average out to be about 14p each if I buy over 50 brochures.

oooh i wasnt so sure i could be bothered checking the camp before to see if i could get stuff cheaper but so far im saving £1 and getting the moroccan spa robe for free
also from camp 15 someones ordered the petal perfume for £10, but if you order the womans version for £14 you get petal free. So im going to order the womans version, costing me £4, nice little xmas pressie there!
It's totally worth while checking, I did and I managed to save £10 across 11 orders, and I got about 5 freebies, so I am very happy.

Thanks Kat! That's exactly what I needed to know!
It gives me the option to order C16, C17 and C18 ... didn't know you could back order/pre-order brochures til todaySmall business owner 🧵 Ex MSE comper 🏆 Student loan repayer 💴 Romanian dog rescuer 🐕 Hopefully a cost of living survivor 🤞🏻0 -
Phew! Right now I have responded to all the questions I could answer, now back to me.
First off, Kerrie (aka silvercharming) thanks for offering to order the bag but I kept both orders, no longer need your help, but thank you so much for offering it was very sweet of you.
Secondly, I have pretty much finished my first campaign now, I got my first delivery of customer products on monday, I went through all the boxes, which was a lot of fun! Everything was there - result! I then packaged them up into paper bags, stapled receipt onto bag etc bags ready to go, I then delivered them to customers tonight and have collected the money in to give to avon, bar my own profit.
I came home very happy tonight, even though I had a very stressful day of work today. I was so happy because my little note through the door of my customers helped and as a result, every customer I expected to be home, was home and had the correct money!
This is the note I put through the doors of my customers 4 days before I delivered their goods:
Hello from Kat your Avon Lady!
Thank you for placing an order in Avon Campaign …….
Your order total is £……….. (Cash only please, and correct change is helpful, thanks)
Your order will be delivered on ………………………………………….
If the time/date above is not convenient for you please give me a call, text or email to arrange another suitable time on 07xxxxxxxx or xxxxxxxxx@xxxxxxx
Thanks
It went down a treat with the customers I spoke to tonight. They all said thank you for the note, a couple said, I forgot how much it was so thanks for the reminder, or I forgot what day, or I lost the receipt so that reminder was helpful. So I would very much recommend it. I basically just put the little note in an envelope and popped it through their doors as I was delivering brochures, no hassle and it really worked, also 3 people text me to arrange other times for delivery and everyone else was home and was expecting me, with the right money.
Another reason that I am happy is I got such a wonderful response that I wasn't expecting. Everyone was so friendly AND two customers asked for 2 brochures to be delivered next time, one said she would give to her sister and the other for her daughter, I said I would give them a free gift if they get me an additional order, which seemed to please them, so that's good. One lady said she only ordered a couple of things in case I wasn't going to come back, but now that I have she will order more next time. So I am very happy and very excited for this campaign. I am delivering my C16 brochures end of the week.
So what I have I learned from my very first campaign to pass onto others:
1. Don't buy sandwich bags without checking the dimensions, I did this twice and neither of them fit the brochure!
2. Putting a slip through the door to remind of the delivery day and how much they owe about 4 -5 days before you will deliver their goods went down a treat, and text message was the preffered mode of communication.
3. Don't forget to include the starter kit, if you want it, I forgot and almost missed out, you only have your first 2 campaigns to buy it and it is definitely worth the money.
4. Take the time to go through the brochures and do back ordering and future ordering of items to save money and get freebies, also check hello tomorrows.
The way I did it was to take a copy of both brochures, then go through my customer receipts and circle every item that a customer purchased, this doesn't take too long if the customer has put the page number. I then went back through the brochures and could see exactly what items overlapped, and was able to combine things i.e 3 for £5 etc. I had one person order 2 sos face creams, and another custome ordered face pads, saved £4.50 by back ordering and combining that order!
4a Look closely through hello tomorrow, especially at the gift sets, if a customer orders an item that is contained within a gift set, it can save you money and give you freebies to order the gift set from HT rather than the brochure. I was able to do that for 2 orders, I got 2 freebies from the christain lacroix set, cost the same, and the other one I saved £2 and gained 2 freebies - far away gift set.
5. Post your brochures through every door, even if it has that sign that says 'no cold calling' etc as most of those people don't mean avon, I have customers from those.
6. Make people feel confident that you are staying around, don't let on that you are new and they will have more confidence and may order more. So many of my customers have been let down in the past so I let them know that I will definitely be sticking around.
7. Give the next brochure out with the orders, I didn't do that as I didn't think they would want a new brochure so quickly after ordering but they all asked for a brochure, so I will get them out asap.
I think that's it, for now, but I am very happy and my first campaign went very well in large part due to this board, you have all been helpful and supportive, so thank you very much for making my first campaign run smoothly.
Kat xMy darling boy born December 20110 -
I'm glad things went smoothly for you Kat. My first order was small as I'd only done 5 days, this ones going to be much larger and lots more customers to deliver too ... I really need a printer for all these notes!Small business owner 🧵 Ex MSE comper 🏆 Student loan repayer 💴 Romanian dog rescuer 🐕 Hopefully a cost of living survivor 🤞🏻0

Hi
You don't have to have 2 books on the go at once, some of us just do it so we don't have to order as many and we get more than 3 weeks use from them saving us money not ordering as many
So do you have to pay for the books for every campaign?
Another question I have is do you have to register as self employed? I'm not really sure how it works. I'm going to ask the AM all this too when she comes round tomorrow!
Many thanks for your replies, they're greatly appreciated!Sealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked0
