Avon Hints and Tips (Part 2)

Hi Guys
Hope you are all ok. I've delivered most of my orders now, just waiting for family to pay up. I got a few freebies this time by back ordering etc, what I need to know is if I send them back as credits but from a different campaign (coz I'd get more money) can they refuse them. I got the far away gift set free by back ordering but a couple of campaigns ago someone ordered them (shower gel etc) so can I send them back under that campaign rather than this one??
Think I've confused myself now but hope some one can help me
Thanks guys0 -
Hi Everyone
After some advice. Just canvassing a new road. Pushed a book through one house and 20 mins later when I passed again it was back out already. They havent ticked that they dont want books so do I go again or not bother? It hasn't been looked at obviously. You never know when you are being "tested" to see if you come again and are reliable but surely if they were interested they would have had a look through the book. Someones mailbox also said No Brochures so I didnt leave one there either:rolleyes: some people!
When that has happened to me, I have to say I haven't bothered to give them a book again. I probably will in a few campaigns time perhaps if I have the time.
Some people really don't pay attention to what comes through, they may have seen "avon" and thought I don't want that, and so put it straight back out without looking any closer at it. We had that when we did Kleeneze, we had a slip of paper in for people to put their address if they didn't want a book again - no end of people would either not put it outside, but then when you collected tell you not to bother again (in varying degrees of niceness - some people were pretty horrible!), or they would write their own snotty note and put it in telling you not to leave one again - but without their address on and very often we wouldn't see them when collecting so it was amusing when we found them sorting the books out at home!:p
Maybe try leaving them one again next time if you have the books/time - and if they do the same it might be a pretty safe bet to say they don't want one unfortunately.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

I wouldn't think that they could refuse them - as they don't know what campaign the product is actually from, so long as it is within the 90 days I would say you would be ok. Would be careful about returning things in order to get credit if a customer hasn't asked for it to be returned - as if say you returned your free gift but under the customers order in order to get credit, if that customer then wanted to return the far away stuff it would make it a bit difficult for you! Just my thoughts though, maybe other people have done this before and be able to give more advice:DAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Has anyone bought or know of anyone who has bought the sampling success pack for £20, or the boost your business pack for £60 in HT? was just wondering if either of them are worth it and what you actually get in them. Thx peeps:j0

Golden rule is that when sending returns, NEVER return the cheapest
You have plenty of time (90 days, as has already been said), and if you go into credits on the website, then click 'show all available invoices' you can do a product search - just look to see what is the best one to returnIf you're out of time, then it won't come up as an option.
It's best when searching for a product to put in as little as possible ie just 'mascara' rather than SuperFull Mascara, as it needs the exact spelling and spacing to find things. If you're searching for something in the Far Away range, just put Far Away, then you can pick from the list. HTH'Better to ask a silly question than to make a silly mistake' Elliebee's Mum

Has anyone had any problems with the large paper bags? The old rep from my round gave me a load of her old stuff that she hadn't used and most of the large paper bags have really weak bottoms (oo-er!) I've ended up needing to cellotape most of them time by the time I need to deliver....0

I've started buying plastic bags now. I find the paper bags limit what you can put in. Friends have been really good and given me the plastic bags back to re-use, so i don't feel too guilty about the environment :rolleyes:One step at a time0 -
I have finally been given some territory. I've picked up some useful tips on here re a introductory slip etc so thank you for that everyone
I just wondered what sort of personal details you put on when doing your 1st drop? Is 1st name, email (set up for avon) and mobile enough???One step at a time0 -
