Avon Hints and Tips (Part 2)

Hi Everyone
Just back from work and on here already lol. Managed to sort half my orders out last night, going to put them out tonight, go back tomorrow night and sort the rest out tomorrow night to go out Thursday, Friday. Collect books next week from this weeks customers. Don't know when I'm gonna put the other books out. Am wondering if it is worth having half territory on book behind or would it be easier to put them all on same book.0 -
with this being my first campaign i have a £200 credit limit or summat.what actually happens if orders amount to more than that? i have been told but have forgotten- mine's over by £610
-
Collected all but 2 books now, one more order for £26.40 but one guy had a go at me saying no more books even though I'd put my sticky note on the front saying if they didn't want any future books to tick and I won't deliver. He could have left it outside instead of making me knock just to be mean to me
I know we're not supposed to take it personally but its hard not to. Does anyone else skip campaigns, maybe every 3 weeks is far too close together?
Some people are just like that! It's hard not to take it personally - but at least you know not to bother with that house again so you'll need one less book! That and some people really don't pay any attention - when we did Kleeneze we had a note on the front of the books saying if you don't want a book again, please write your house number & street on......we had no end of people who would write a little note and open the bag up & put the note in, but the note didn't have their address on & we wouldn't see it until we had gotten the books home which was a little late then lol!:p
So far I haven't skipped any campaigns, I figure some people order toiletries & make-up, which especially for shower gels etc you need to buy regularly. I do think though that the offers were a little rubbish in C6, and again in C7 - one of the managers hasn't ordered this time even though she has every campaign previously which I think is mostly down to the lack of offers. However - she likes Anew stuff so I'm hoping she'll spend £20 in C8 lol!:beer:Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

I do one set of streets on the new books & the rest on the old in order to avoid buying as many books each time, and giving more chances for forward/back ordering - but then I have a lot of houses to cover. Depending on how many streets you have it would still be worth having a least one of your streets on the old book as it will save you a little bit of money on ordering books each time.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

Are you sure you have a credit limit this time? I know from previous posts it says you normally do which I was worried about - but my first order came to over £300 with all my bits and there was no problem. Might be worth double checking by ringing up to check what your limit is?Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
pretty certain i was told that.can't get hold of my SL at the sec but i'll keep trying0

Ah right - I think it does depend upon various factors from what other people have said, like length of living at your current address etc. I'm not sure what you can do about increasing your credit limit though, I think it might be that you have to pay some of the money up front so that your order is released. If you have orders from family though, perhaps they might be willing to give you the money early in order to help you?Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

been having a chat with somebody who explained that i should be looking at total price to me so only £5 over and should be ok.i've been here 6 years and have had an account in the past so i should be ok.IF i do have to fork out then it's not a problem and anyway i only have one order from my mam in regards to family.i'm just worried about what my second order might be like as i didn't expect to get such a big one this time-yes i'm a pessimist0

Thats good to hear that you aren't too much over then.
Had to fun of trying to deliver orders this morning - a ridiculous number of people not in!!! Pushed letters through last week saying what day & time I'd be coming, getting OH to try again tonight, and if not they can have another letter asking to ring to re-arrange delivery, I can't keep going to try and catch people in, especially as so many haven't put telephone numbers, or if they have they haven't got answering machines lol! Still need to get another £160 until I can pay my balance, but got a few big orders which the people had rung to arrange for tonight so hopefully should be ok.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Hi Everyone
After some advice. Just canvassing a new road. Pushed a book through one house and 20 mins later when I passed again it was back out already. They havent ticked that they dont want books so do I go again or not bother? It hasn't been looked at obviously. You never know when you are being "tested" to see if you come again and are reliable but surely if they were interested they would have had a look through the book. Someones mailbox also said No Brochures so I didnt leave one there either:rolleyes: some people!0
