Avon Hints and Tips (Part 2)

I have to say whenever I rang Avon to try and get hold of my asm - they sounded very apologetic and said they'd get her to get in touch with me.....but in the end it was by chance that she happened to pick the phone up when I rung lol! So - I don't trust Avon completely anymore!
The only thing I can think is the difficulty for the couriers is where you live (not making excuses for them, but it might have confused them) from what you've said previously it sounds like you live above an accountants is it (sorry if I remembered wrongly!) so perhaps they are unsure of what door to go to get access to you? However - common sense would say that they should ring you as then you could go down and show them! Perhaps try and get the phone number of the courier and ring them - I know you shouldn't have to, BUT, if you do that then it might clear things up and they would be able to deliver without difficulty in the future? It would be a shame to have to give up when you wanted to make a go of it.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Well you're right in that it's not easy to find our flat from the street, though when we've had deliveries from Tesco and Argos etc.. they have always parked up outside and called us to check how to get in, end of problem.
I'm torn as to what to do now, should I call Avon and give the couriers another chance or forget it? I've had to tell people what has happened and that I've been let down, it will look a bit odd if I suddenly change my mind and start dishing out brochures again.
I'll wait to hear from my ASM and see what happens next. They have the internet on computers now?! - Homer Simpson

If it was me I'd give the couriers another chance - but only because I'm stubborn lol! I'm sure people would understand you changing your mind - you could say it was due to a misunderstanding?! I suppose with the couriers not being paid as such - like with argos/tesco they would have to deliver as otherwise you would get a refund! - they don't feel like they have to bother spending the time to do things properly?! No excuse granted, just trying to think why on earth they would fail to deliver something not once, but twice!
Hopefully your asm will be encouraging and sort things out for you - would be a shame if you felt you have no choice but to quit being an avon lady.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
We'll see, I'm still awaiting a response from Avon and my ASM and I refuse to contact them again.

When i first took over from the previous rep i managed to return a handbag that the previous rep had sold. I dont think it was straight forward and i dont remember how but it was arranged some howLife isn't about waiting for the storm to pass,it's about learning to dance in the rain.0 -
I'm really excited. My first order came today, and I have already delivered 2 of the 3 orders to my estate. The one that wasn't in was the biggest order gah, but I left a note saying i will try again tomorrow. I think that my estate are too "posh" and fussy too as so many didn't want future books. The other 2 orders are for my mummy and my best friend (bless) so have them sitting here.
I got my bits too. Wearing my empowerment necklace. I really like that, means a lot. Except the chain is a little flimsy i'm worried my kitten is going to try and grab it.
Anyway with the orders, I delivered I explained i'd put the next catalogue in, although I said I wasn't expecting them to order everytime I just thought it would be nicer to give my existing customers a bit longer to look through the book. They both seemed really happy and collecting the money wasn't anywhere near as scary as I imagined it would be.
So i'm sitting here looking at my C7 books, and my C8 which i've ordered in too. I want to get them all ready to post through doors (well C7 anyway). I would love to beat last campaigns target, to get to £250 over first two campaigns would be really cool. Also my sales leader (i'm going to be a SL too) has helped me sign up my first rep. 4 to go yay!Virgin CC: [STRIKE]-£374.70[/STRIKE] -£384.39 | Barclaycard: -£2016.05 | Egg CC: [STRIKE]- £781.13[/STRIKE] -£1450.28 | M&S CC: [STRIKE]-£980.40[/STRIKE] -£1026.29 | Natwest CC: -£1,605.60 | Tesco CC: [STRIKE]£1,567.10[/STRIKE] -£1334.10 |

Morning
I've got the day off today so am covering the remaining houses in my territory - all 108 of them!!
I really hope I can get some more orders. Got a load of flats with this lot so going to get fit if nothing else. Just hope that trade button thing works. I read somewhere that they operate in the morning so that the postie and that can get access.
It looks like I will be losing an extra day at work (used to work 4 days a week but upped it to 5 but looks like I will lose that extra day due to budget cuts) so I will make Wednesday my Avon day from next month if this happens. I find it easier to deliver books during the day as less people are around so it's easier to park and you can see all the house numbers more clearly.
Suppose I better get going, the sooner I start the sooner I finish and all that.

Shame your loosing a day at work, but at least you could hopefully make up the loss of income there with doing more with Avon.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

In regards to the couriers - i am unable to hear the doorbell and get delivery very early in morning (in flats). I called the courier company and explained to them my situation and agreed a place to leave boxes if I didnt answer the door. Ive always found them to be helpful if I phone looking for information about when a delivery is etc. I think Avon will only be able to tell you that items are sent and to contact courier for more info.:j Debt-Free-Wannabe! :jDeclutter/Ebay/Savings0
