    Afternoon all,

What do you guys do about homes where you deliver books but they wont leave them out and also never answer the door? I've been back to the same couple of houses 3 times and still have no joy, should I not bother with them?

I delivered for about 3/4 campaigns then crossed those houses off my list :D

Hi, can any of you ladies help?

I'm trying to find two Erin bags for 2 customers.
The Erin bag is a black grained leatherette handbag featuring tassels and a padlock.

    Thanks

I popped a note through the door saying I would return tomorrow, please leave the book outside even if not ordering......and then if they hadn't put the book out I tried knocking on maybe another 2 days, after which point I have crossed them off the list (unless it looks like they might be on holiday) as it isn't that difficult to put a book outside!:p

or you could use them as a recycling bin...    :rotfl:

In the very last week of the campaign put one your OLD books (the ones you wont be able to use ever again) through in a cheapie bag. Then if you dont get it back you have one less to take the recycling BUT they are still seeing a book and if they want you to stop putting them through well then they will HAVE to answer the door to you or leave you a note! Result either way! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Thanks Lozza and johanne, I'll try your tips as I dont want to keep going round there if they're not interested. I'm a busy woman and all that!

I delivered books to my last couple of streets this afternoon with OH help, another 26 homes so hopefully I'll get an order or two out of that. I'm up to £120 and really want to make HOV this time so I have a chance of getting the sample pack freebies

  • Hi Everyone

Just to let you know that the lady who messed me about finally paid for her order and has ordered again. We had a chat and have agreed that I will txt her when her next order is ready and she will let me know when the best day and time is for me to deliver it. Just hope she sticks to it this time lol.

On another note I had a letter from Avon on Friday saying they had had a call from someone who was interested in becoming a customer, would I go round. So I went round that night and the lady wasn't in (seems to be the thing with people) so popped a book through her door. I called her the next day to introduce myself and make sure she had received the book and that it would be ok for me to pick the book up Monday. No answer so left a message on her answer machine. She called me today and left a message on my phone as I missed the call. Her message said that she had had a letter from Avon saying I would pick up a return she had because her rep is no longer with Avon. Seems Avon sent 2 different letters to us both. Anyway I was thinking if I pick up her return how will I claim the credit back as she never bought the product/s from me. I have messaged Avon as my AM is now on holiday. I don't see why Avon can't pay her as they have already received the money in the first place. Anyway we will see what happens.

Hope everyone is ok and doing well.
  • It is just me, but are avon a lot slower these days. I always return any items for a refund at the first opportunity but that last few times i have been recharged and then they been refunded a week or 2 weeks later when its been processed. I'm sure it never used to take that long.

I was wondering about how to pay this camp as I was charged for something I didn't receive and claimed for it as soon as I realised but Avon invoice still says to pay the full amount. Do I deduct the amount myself and only pay that otherwise I will be paying for something I haven't got.

Here's a little idea for those wishing to boost their award sales, either for PC or the iNRDP (not that I would dream of doing it myself ;) )...

Avon are now price matching the Beauty on a Budget prices for orders in C4 & C5 BUT, and it's a big BUT (just like mine LOL) they are still giving the Rep the full value of the C4/5 price for your award sales by doing an adjustment in the items with no discount section - so... instead of using the code in the pink book, you could use the code from the main book instead so the customer gets the same price but you get the extra value for your sales e.g. e.g. MagiX face perfector £6.99 vs £10; Gllimmersticks eyeliner £2.50 vs £5; kiss n' go lippy £0.99 vs £3.25 (use C4 if you can for best effect as there's a multisave offer in C5); Planet Spa hand and cuticle cream £1.50 vs £3.50; V&T shampoo or conditioner £0.98 vs £2.65 etc etc.

It quickly adds up and wouldn't cost the customer an extra penny but could get you into PC that little bit quicker.
