    Morning all,

I worked out last night I have orders so far of just over £100! what with that and a few bits for myself I'm up to £40 commission which is pretty good so far I think.

I still have some books to collect plus a whole street to canvass this week so with any luck I'll get even more orders, plus a girl in the office is looking at a book this weekend.

How are others getting on? am I doing ok for my first campaign?

  • Really angry this morning, I went to put books in a few roads of my territory, and found avon books on their doorsteps, picked one up to have a look at the name on the order form just to check I hadn't gone crazy and already covered these roads, they were not my books! My ASM said this wouldn't happen again. I have a really small territory and am angry that someone is trying to steal it!

  • In the next few months we are having new mapping for the allocation of territory for Representatives. It is all being centralized through out the whole country. .

I really hope that this is true and think that its about time. At least then instances of overlapped or stolen territory will be resolved. The days of highlighting a street on a paper map are hopefully soon to be gone in Avon :T

Re the territory email, does this mean that head office will now know exactly who covers what area?

Let's hope so, I'd imagine it is more a tool for the Area Manager though :)

That would be really good. And it would be good if they could update the last time roads were canvassed too. I took over from a rep who'd been doing it for years and they'd whittled their customers down to a manageable few... I bet there's a few reps out there who have done that. So that would be better for us who would like more territory and those who just want a select few to deal with.

Oh, and on the subject of SL. I thought mine was quite good as she always txtd back when I txtd her. But I txt her the other night asking how much notice she would need to get me more territory. This was over two days ago and I've not heard anything back... Hmmm. I get extremely impatient when people don't return calls! Can't imagine how you others have been getting on with all the stories I've read. :(

see i dont think its good... because if you read back earlier in the thread this is going to go hand in hand with a scheme where avon dictate how many customers/sales they think you should have ... and if you dont make the sales they expected you may lose your territory! Or thats how i read it anyway....

Just forced myself to go put 36 books out to my regular customers on this territory... will cover my other 15 regulars on other territory tomorrow along with some recanvassing non ordering people if i can be bothered :o

My motivation is seriously lacking this campaign. PLUS i dedicated so much time to the last campaign ive ended up missing a university assignment deadline!! and havent done much housework either!!!.... Then I still fell down the list of top reps in the area and only made £110 in commission anyway which may sound alot but ive already spent £30 of it on on ink and bags for this campaign  and i literally spent almost every day in some capacity doing something for avon.. be it advertising, newsletter making, canvassing or sorting out paperwork like my customer records.... so to come out with £90 in my pocket after expenses makes it pitiful for the time i put in.... to be honest if i didnt already have my books i wouldnt be doing this campaign 6 at all! :o:o:o
  • anyone a rep in central scotland here? if so can you let me know?

I didnt think of that, I hope thats not the case as you cant always get the sales in if people dont to want to order, we cant force customers to buy each time!
