Grrrrrrrrrrrr! I am just about ready to through in the towel with Avon. Not because of the customers or through lack of orders, all that is fine.

The problems is the bloomin' phone calls. Half the time they just hang up nearly as soon as you answer it and the rest of the time they basically ram products down your throat. Speaking so fast you can't get a word in and not taking no for answer - just saying you won't be charged for 6 weeks, they're are most popular products blah, blah, blah.

I just want to shout "bog off and leave me alone!!!!!!!!!":mad::mad::mad::mad:

Hang up on them! I have advised some of my reps to do so if they aren't interested, the problem is the call centre people are trained not to hang up until they get your order. I gave them a mouthful once :o never had a call off 'em since...
  • Order came today, all packed up and most of it delivered - only do family and friends so not too much head work. Got my figure for sales to hit in C6 for the car or £100 cash entry and its very do-able so fingers crossed.

Ordered more books this time so giving out a few more in work. Also going to an Ann Summers party in my cousins next week and she has asked if i'd like to take my Avon books along - I've got quite a few foundation, lipstick, perfume and other odd samples so will take them up with me and a few books. Will also be wearing every Avon product I own to advertise ;)
  • Liz33y, I ordered the rep bag and it was split over the two campaigns. I think it is well worth the money for the bags and couple of samples that you get. Also if you manage to sell the perfume that you have in the bag it pays for the bag and more!

In that case I'll order it then, it looks smart plus will double as somewhere to stash my paperwork. Thanks!

quick question for for those on flissys ... im considering sales leadership and would like to read up on it.. are you allowed to join if your not yet a SL?

Also has everyone seen the new branded merchandise you can buy from the arcadiaonline people? Found the link for it in the "training" section... would be good for sales leaders as it seems to "live the dream join my team" on it... not so great for reps if your not building a team! :rotfl: BUT an avon branded fleece/raincoat may be useful in the winter regardless!

I agree the rep bag is worth the money, it's very smart, got lots of pockets inside, and I got a full size bottle of perfume, a lipgloss, pack of bags and some samples in with it :D

I assume it's medium (I haven't actually bought any Avon bags, I got some plain ones from a bag company on the internet which were much cheaper *shush* lol), I think it depends on who packed your box on what samples you get - I got a pack of 5 perfume samples, a few lipsticks samples, 2 foundation samples, a pack of skin so soft samples (5 in the pack) and 2 packs of different anew samples.

Got 2 more orders today, so up to £345 now :D Though lots of books weren't left out, so me and OH have got to go back tomorrow to chase them up (haven't covered those houses before which is probably why!).

I got another order today for £6,50 which brings my total so far to £34,75, ok I guess for just over a week. I have another 10 brochures to try and get back plus 26 houses still to canvass. I asked the cleaner at work if she wanted a book and she said she gets her Avon elsewhere, though she hasnt had a book for a while so will find out if her current rep is still active.

I'm hoping to hit MOV for my first campaign without having to top it up myself too much. I like the thought of the freebies on offer too but dont hold out much hope of hitting the higher target just yet.

Shame about your cleaner, though maybe you might still be in luck if she hasn't had a book in a while. Did you manage to leave a book at work?
