  • hi all
well ive just been out and put my c5 books out on my new road.out of 81 houses 14 were either empty or said they didnt want it. so that leaves 67 (will pick up on mon) plus my other street is 36 houses so now i have 103 houses to do.
At the mo both streets are on the same book until i work out how many i need then i aim to do split books with the bigger street on the current book and smaller on previous. This would leave some current books to show family and friends etc.
When putting a book through a lady opened the door thought she was going to say no thank you but.......it was the old avon lady who gave me a box full of samples and bags so will have a sort through them later.(will pop something nice in for her even if she doesnt order to say thanks).

Just a bit of info I didnt get my bags with previous order so i phoned up. was told all bags are out of stock and as soon as they come in the are going out to reps who have ordered them so it might be worthwhile putting a few on orders to make sure you get some when they come in.

    thanks for reading

  • Hi everyone

Just wanted to find out what exactly does a Sales Leader do?
And how do I find out who my ASM is?

I'm doing my first party this Saturday....and I'm now getting very nervous.
It's just going to be with friends and friends of friends...but that's why I'm getting so nervous because I want to make a good impression

I don't really know what I need to do/ not to do??
I've tried asking my SL for tips and asked on this thread too...but no answers

I've done one of my roads already. I put out 55 books and this covered all the houses. I saw quite a few people whilst doing it and they all seemed very friendly and I didn't have anyone refuse to accept a book.

I'm going to do one of my other roads tomorrow which is 34 houses and this will be all that I can do this campaign. I'm collecting the books on Monday and Tuesday so fingers crossed I get some orders.

I would love to get to £250 but I know this is quite ambitious considering the fact that I've only got 6 days until the order has to be placed.

  • Well, I know I have winged about my SL, but she is lovely really. My problem is that I was only the 5th person she signed up and she olny bacame a SL about 3 weeks before she signed me up.

Think she has been a little overwhelmed with the whole thing. I was struggling for cats in my T2 but she gave me another 40 for free. She even dropped them off, I was prepared to go round to hers as she lives about 20 mins away.

I am going to deliver them tonight. 40 out tonight for collection on sat. I delivered 15 on tue that are in tonight and 2 call backs ( that is T2)

T1 I have given slightly longer with books. So they went out last night and am getting them back satuday. Only 15 to get there though.

I am up to £130 in orders but I am hoping to hit £200.00. People will know from my rant a little while ago. Unless I do make about £200 I will earn nothing this time.

What are the sales targets to get into the President's Club? I've been looking through the info my SL gave me but can't find the figure anywhere. Always good to aim high ;) .

  • Emily - if you can get onto the website, then after you've logged in, go to My Account>my status and you'll find all the details there. Good luck

Thanks, I'll have a look on the website when my SL lets me know that I can go on there. She said I should be able to get on there over the weekend.

  • Grrrrrrrrrrrr! I am just about ready to through in the towel with Avon. Not because of the customers or through lack of orders, all that is fine.

The problems is the bloomin' phone calls. Half the time they just hang up nearly as soon as you answer it and the rest of the time they basically ram products down your throat. Speaking so fast you can't get a word in and not taking no for answer - just saying you won't be charged for 6 weeks, they're are most popular products blah, blah, blah.

I just want to shout "bog off and leave me alone!!!!!!!!!":mad::mad::mad::mad:

Gah!!! Just rang Avon again to see about getting in touch with my ASM - was basically told to give her a week from them emailing her to get back in touch, as they are very busy, HELLO - she was meant to come last Thursday, and they emailed her last Friday! I asked what happens if she hasn't got in touch by next week, as it would be over 7 days then, the lady (who didn't seem bothered in the slightest!) said to ring up again and see!

I can see why there is such a high turn around of reps! I understand ASM are busy (so I am, especially after wasting a morning waiting for her to turn up) - but it doesn't take long to send an email, or even give me a quick text!

I just hope she has a good excuse & apologises - otherwise, how on earth am I meant to deal with her in the future!
Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A

Sorry you're having problems Lozza, my ASM turned up almost 30 minutes early last night as we were about to eat, luckily she agreed to come back this evening as she admitted it would be better for her.

I got another order today for £6,50 which brings my total so far to £34,75, ok I guess for just over a week. I have another 10 brochures to try and get back plus 26 houses still to canvass. I asked the cleaner at work if she wanted a book and she said she gets her Avon elsewhere, though she hasnt had a book for a while so will find out if her current rep is still active.

I'm hoping to hit MOV for my first campaign without having to top it up myself too much. I like the thought of the freebies on offer too but dont hold out much hope of hitting the higher target just yet.

One question, I fancy ordering the rep bag, the one that costs £10 and has samples with it, it says in my new rep paperwork that it's invoiced in two parts but it's showing up in my subtotal on the website, any ideas why?
