pah! i stupidly arranged to deliver on wed night but didnt check the football fixtures and will now miss the Liverpool match I wanted to watch  Least i know most my customers will be in while the men have gone the pub to watch it! :rotfl:

Not looking forward to it as now have 35 deliveries to make in one night across 2 seperate territories and my normal 20ish deliveries usually takes 2.5 hours... so i could be a while!!! ... and my partner is working so have had to arrange a babysitter too... who said this avon business fitted round your life and family?  :rotfl:

alot of people on here (including me) use ebay to buy "gripseal bags" in size 8 x 11... but you could use normal freezer bags depending on the size of them.

I'm sure everyone on here will have their fingers crossed for you Lozza - I remember being in a similar position during the last recession, so I have some idea how you feel. :grouphug:

Thank you. OH has been looking at jobs today and has seen a couple of good ones for same pay but less hours! So you never know, might turn out to be a good thing!

Aha! Our printer and PC are playing up so I wrote a little note on the order forms about who I am etc.... I plan to do something much more professional with my next lot of books.

I hear some people use freezer bags from places like Iceland when putting books through peoples doors.

I buy them from Poundland, 40 large ones for £1 (they do 80 small ones for £1 but although they fit the books in, they are a tight squeeze and my customers weren't keen on them :D)

My brochures and orders are all ready to be delivered now having sorted out the free gifts and wrapped them in pretty pink tissue :p just got to wait for OH to get home to drive me round.

Poundland it is then! I'll have a look next time I'm in town.

It was a little odd delivering books this afternoon pushing them through peoples letter boxes then hearing a pair of hands grab them as I walked away! I didnt want to knock on doors and disturb people seeing as I dont know who lives there yet

*hug* My OH is in security and its one them areas where the shifts can be atrocious so i can sympathise with you on the hours thing....less hours and same pay would be a godsend!!!!

My OH's present job is 12 hour shifts of 8-8s either nights or days or 12pm-12ams, with 4 days on on 4 days off... in a pattern of days (off) nights (off) mids (off) days etc! it gets VERY confusing!! And these hours are BETTER than his last job!  :rotfl:

You can probably see why i find it hard to fit my avon round his work too.. :rotfl:

Lol I know what you mean, he does 12 hr shifts too, 6am-6pm, 3 days, 4 nights then 3 days off, then 4 days, 3 nights and 4 days off. So only 1 weekend out of every 3 he's off.
