    Exqueeze me... what is "SLLOA"?

Sorry! SLLOA is Sales Leader Length of Association... how long you've been a sales leader. LOA - length of association - is how long you've been with Avon.

    Thanks SC.

    Tuesday is aaaaages away!
I don't mind if my earnings aren't amazing, tbh it's as much for the exercise and meeting new people... plus a few freebies! :D
    :)
  • Well Pinzy, it does take a few campaigns for you and your customers to get to know each other, so you should find you'll do better than this first campaign. Unfortunately a lot of people will give up at the first hurdle. Don't be one of them! It is worth sticking with!

But yes, you will probably acquire freebies and bargains with frightening speed!

Penky, PM me your postcode and I will find you their email addy.

"Hi, I'm your new Avon lady, will you be my friend?:D " :rotfl:

I need the social practice. Coming out of a relationship of a few years with an OH who doesn't get out much. It's odd, I used to be the life and soul of any party but once you're out of practice it can be a bit unnerving throwing oneself back into the swing of things! Talking to strangers and building up a rapport is a great confidence booster.

I'd like to do parties and build up dynamic sales team, but I'm making sure I don't get ahead of myself.... easily done!

Ummm... yeah, that was me! I only wanted to do Avon as a hobby and earn a few quid. Less than six weeks on, my entire life plan has changed! My problem is that I always say 'yes' unless I can think of a really compelling reason to say no right at that precise moment in time. Gets me into all sorts of scrapes. Still, my life is never boring...
  • Hi Pinzy
...........well you've made friends on here, so you're better at it than you think ;)

I know just what you mean though; I'm quite shy, but no-one ever guesses! I think the trick is just to bring out your inner actress......act confident, even if you're talking ****, and everyone will assume that you're super confident and know what you're talking about :rotfl:

SL = Sales Leader (someone who does Avon but also recruits other Avon ladies and earns more money on their commission.. ching ching!)
ASM = Area Sales Manager (or summat like that - someone who gets paid by Avon (I think) to look after Sales Leaders... and gets to go to the outlet store at Corby and buy obscene amount of stuff for pennies.. woohoo!)

If in doubt, ask. I am! Didn't have a clue about any of this stuff before Tuesday evening. Started at Post 1 and read through - a far more fruitful couple of hours than watching a naff movie.
You're way ahead of me, I'm still waiting for my meeting to get signed up!

I am sure some more seasoned professionals will be along shortly with hints and tips. Good luck! :hello:

Also, if you are gonna make the effort to read through the thread, I would recommend setting up a new favourites folder called "Avon ideas" or summat. Each post has a number in the top right corner, if you click on that number it'll give you a page with only that post on it, which you can save as a favourite. The only thing is that all these have the same name, and you don't want each one to replace the last one in your favourites folder, so you'll have to add a number to the end of the name to save them all separately.
    Hope that's clear!

Just an idea - it's what I've been doing. I've also been reading the Body Shope At Home thread as well as any other similar for ideas... building up plenty to unleash when they let me out there!
    :)
