Hi Ragz. Can you remember what brochure it was?
Some reps may be putting c14 in, but others will be on c15 so it's hard to tell when you'd expect to receive it. When we take an order the rep is the only person who sees it, so HO have no idea who has ordered.

If you like I can ask on the Avon forum and see if there's anyone on there who's local to you?

Thanks that'd be great. I don't know which it was but I know I bought a pretty little manicure set as pressie for little sis and it was with xmas gifts. I guess that is in all of them so no help!

That'll be camp 15 which lots of reps havent submitted their orders for yet - so fingers crossed your rep will return with your order.
  • Just to update... and I'm not bragging (I swear!)

been through my haul and nearly all of what I bought was current lines! IN some cases it's easy to see that it's there because the packaging is a little damaged or whatever, but in others its still-sealed perfectly in-date stock! So I can discount heavily and still make a nice sum for charity.

FYO, it is an 'employee' store so technically it's not for reps, but ASMs can sign reps in with them if they pre-arrange it. I'm not sure what constitutes good reason, with the obvious exception of my own reason, which was a charity event. As long as people turn up I should be able to raise a nice sum. I've also got some old beauty bonuses and together with some non-current planet spa and SSS lines I'm making some nice gift baskets for a raffle too. And Avon gave us some of the ribbon brooches to sell, 100% of that goes to the Crusade.

So anyway, with all the grumbles going on at the moment I have to say good for you, Avon :T

Sounds like a fab place - I love a bargain! Good luck for your party. You sound to have a really good ASM. I am seeing my ASM tomorrow to arrange to go on sign ups together. Am excited!! (how sad am i!!!) :o
  • You're right, Pippa, my ASM is fab. As soon as she came to sign me up we clicked, which is obviously a good sign, and I think most ASMs give you more help if people are ambitious or show interested in helping themselves - I think they are more inclined to help you if you show that you're willing to do hard work without them prodding you, if you see what I mean. But arranging to take a day out to come to Corby with me was above and beyond the call of duty. And not only is she coming to help with the pub party, she's also making all her family come along so we know that someone's going to actually turn up! She's a star, bless her. Part of why I'm working so hard is I want to repay some of her faith in me, and help her to get her sign-up stats up a bit.

Good luck with the sign-ups - I did two today and my ASM came along to one of them, she actually had never been to one with me before (bit naughty of her ;)) because I was very confident and because I couldn't wait around for her to finish her holiday! :rotfl: So it was my eighth one that she came to instead, I found it way more nervewracking with her there but she said I did well.

If anyone is looking to recruit, the students are returning, should be a few to be had if you have a university nearby. That's where I'm off to tomorrow afternoon!

    Mornin' ladies,

Well after reading the whole thread, I'm thinking of signing up, could be the best £15 I've spent! Although I've seen a delivery man drop Avon boxes at 3(!) houses on my street, I've never had one through the door. Sounds like leaflet dropping would be good first.

We all know the old adage "you never work harder than when you work for yourself", but how many hours roughly would you say you're putting in a week doing this?

    Hey all,

Well spoke to my Area manager last night and she said that there wasnt meant to be anyone else delivering on my territory and there never has been so is quite annoyed about it. If i can find out who it is then i have to let her know and she will sort it out for me :-) Feel like i'm getting somewhere at last......

Thanks for the help on the bag as well, am hoping that i do it right and dont get charged to much. Will see though....xx

    Hello all!

Ok, my very first order has to be submitted on Friday and I have £412 worth of orders so far and am collecting my last 40 books from my round tonight.

I'm quite chuffed with that! Most of my orders have been from people at work and not been very successful with my area.

I have called my ASM to ask for some more roads but she never answers her phone. I have left her a message for her to call back and text her but nothing. Would another Area manager have access to the system to let me know if any other roads are free? I dont want to be seen to be hassling her but would like to know either way. If there aret then I can throw this campaigns books away!

    This weeks loss - -8lbs
Total loss so far - 8lbs
    Weeks on CD - 1
  • Sorry don't know the answer to your question, just wanted to say well done on your sales total...
I am trying to get some more area as i only have 3 roads and they seem to be there cast offs as they still have a selected few customers.

    Hi Pinzy
From my own experience, I would say that it's not a good idea to leaflet first. I dropped leaflets at 40 houses without any response, but when I dropped brochures, I got four orders totalling around £80 :j I think people are tempted to buy when they see something they like, but won't necessarily bother to make contact otherwise.
Perhaps you could have a word with the people at the houses where you've seen boxes delivered - you may find that they don't actually cover the area where you live. I've only just been given territory around my home after a year as an Avon Rep.
The number of hours you put in depends on the way you work. To prepare 60 brochure packs (brochure, order form, note of collection day etc. into poly bag) takes around 1 1/2 hours once every 3 weeks. To deliver them, around 1/2 hour and the same to collect, although I always go back a second day to get the ones that missed the first day  In addition there is the preparation of any paperwork (newsletters etc) that you choose to do. The delivery gets quicker to deal with as you get more used to it - a £200 order would normally take me about 1 1/2 to 2 hours to pack up, and then there is the delivery. It helps if you phone or email people first though....less wasted journeys.
I'd say go for it and see if you enjoy it. Getting paid for something you love doing anyway is great :D
