Avon Hints and Tips (Part 2)

Hi all, i have only been a rep for 6 campaigns now but have had nothing but bad service from Avon. The last straw is the fact that I seem to be miles behind everyone else in campaigns! I have just ordered campaign 15 brochures but other people in my area are handing out campaign 17 and someone at work has brought in campaign 18! This means that everywhere i try to take my brochures people are saying ' Oh we've already seen that one' so i'm hardly getting any orders. i phoned Avon about this but they just said that it depends on your area, I explained to them that my next door neighbour (who only takes orders from her friends and family) is on campaign 17 but just get more fobbing off. I'm fed up with it all to be honest and they just don't seem to want to help me.....i don't know what to do!
Hi luby!
I'm sorry that you are having a bad time, here's a hug for you :grouphug:
If you want to carry on with avon because (despite some of the downsides) you enjoy it then we need to find a way to make you enjoy it again.
So, even though this is my first campaign, I have read this entire thread (well the last one, the long one) so I feel I do have some knowledge to impart, but if anyone else has better advice, please feel free to butt in.
Firstly, is it possible for you to change the area that you are in, as in, can you be under a different area manager so that you can be on a different mailplan? Probably not possible but it wouldn't hurt to ask.
Secondly, it sounds like you are on mailplan 'o', as are a lot of people on this thread, and they are making it work so I am sure you can too. If the territory that you have been given is not working out, why don't you ask your area manager for another territory or an additional territory, perhaps even ask for one that hasn't had a rep in a while, because then they will be none-the-wise in terms of what brochures everyone is on.
Fair enough the work thing isn't working out, but perhaps you could try other places of work, like your partners place of work (if you have one) or you parents/friends? You could also try taking the brochure to some local shops/hairdressers etc.
Take care and good luck,

Luby, I am on mailplan O and new as well, and it can be a bad thing, can be a good thing. When it comes to the sales it pretty much sucks, but it can also work well. Point out all of the offers that they are getting a second chance to buy! Do try getting in some of the demo stuff from Hello Tomorrow - a lady asked me the other day why my book didn't have the Xmas clock in it, she was so impressed when I told her I could drop one round the following morning - she got it quicker than if she'd waited for the other rep to order it! You can always send it back if you don't need it.
If your territory sucks, ask your ASM to change it. If the problem is that other reps have 'invaded' it then complain about them. I have a rep who has 'mailbombed' my territory for the second campaign running, and at the weekend she told two of my customers that I'd left! Luckily I am already 'theirs' after two campaigns, so one phoned me and asked the other rep to repeat what she'd said down the phone to me (she fled!!!!!!!!) and the other has written and complained to head office, saying she knows full well I haven't left since i'd only spoken to her on the phone about her order that morning!!!!! But on the plus side, I have got another 200 houses because of her.
Or you could try offering party plan or explore other ways of selling, or offer a free gift or a raffle ticket when you buy -something to make you stand out form the crowd!
But don't quit, hun, speak to your SL or ASM as there are very few problems that can't be sorted. :grouphug: good luck0 -

Hi all,
Still not on the new website (area 151) just wondering if i get an e-mail with the new website address on? or does someone have it for me to get onto :-s
Delivered onto my first street today very excited hoping i get some orders. Also, rang Avon about my areas and they said they would get my area manager to ring me as well :-) xx:j MOVING TO AUS 12th JULY 2009 WOOHOO :j0 -
It's the same web address, han, you get redirected automatically once you've been done. They had loads of teams going over today, so they're probably behind or something.
I'm going to the Corby outlet shop tomorrow! :j Very excited.0 -
Hey all,
need some help, and i know this probably sounds really thick but think i've read it to many times so now it makes no sense to me.
Basically, Page 22/23 of the Hello Tomorrow C17 Demonstration products. I am wanting to purchase the Square Antler Vanity Organiser (think it's gorge!) There are 3 different prices on it. I think it means i can buy it for £32.35 without anything else, or £9.15 when i spend £4.90 on the products on Page 23????
is that right? so do i just put the order in (18796) for the bag and then put in 2 of the following from the page 23, in the Hello Tomorrow magazine?
does this make sense?? But then there is another price for £10 when you spend £7...........can you see why i'm confused.....Help me please :-(

I am sorry han but I don't have HT15 with me at the moment, sure someone will be along soon tho.
Silver - what is the corby outlet shop? Also, if you don't mind, where do you live, is it near MK coz corby is where my avon deliveries come from.

Im on campaign 15 just now. a customer submitted order for some make up, and it was using brochure 13, didnt manage to give me it by the last order deadline.
Problem is she wants product Personal Match Liquid Foundation Nude and I cant find it in either 14 or 15, has it been discontinued or renamed? Any idea what closest alternative would be? Ideal Shade liquid foundation or personal match barely there? Will be asking customer but just wanted any ideas other reps may have?:j Debt-Free-Wannabe! :jDeclutter/Ebay/Savings0
