  • ive ordered an additonal order this month as a customer was late ordering and another wanted some stuff - how does it work - come via the usual delivery method? Do they let you know what day time it will come at or even to expect it?

Found out my ASM left avon 3 months ago and they dont even bother to tell me! Ive no idea who I go to now for advice and help.

  • HI all could I het a bit of quick advice on credits, never done them before.
1 - Do I just put the credit through the online system and then send the stuff back (in an envelope / bag / on their own??) with the courier when she delivers my next order?
2- When does the credit come off my balance - do I i just manually deduct the credit amounts before I pay Avon, or will they do it when my next order is processed and the items are back with them?

    Thanks guys!

Hi Kirsty - sounds like you're doing well!

I always send my returns with the courier when they deliver my order. I use old Avon boxes, or if it's only a couple of small items, a padded bag (Poundland do 4 for £1). One copy of the returns form goes in the box, the other is signed by the driver as proof of return. It's worth noting that aerosols can only be sent by courier as you can't put them through the post. You can send more than one lot of returns in the same box (I separate mine by putting each in it's own plastic bag), but you must include a returns form for each. The barcodes go on the outside of the box (it's fine to put all the barcodes on - I checked with my driver)

If you haven't yet paid your bill, you can put the returns through online and just deduct it from your payment (you have about 4 weeks to return it before they re-charge it). You may find that your balance still shows as the full amount after you've submitted the returns, but after payment of the reduced amount, it will show as zero.

If you've already paid your bill, then collect up all your returns and submit them just before your order. They'll then come straight off the balance.

    Hope that helps.

 :rolleyes2 That'll be why she's not answering emails then! At least you know now. Presumably they'll just employ a new one as and when they can and it'll be up to the new ASM to let the area folk know they've started.
That's rubbish though Laura, hopefully your replacement will be a good one!

Thanks SC for the HT1 offer, I'm gonna nip round to Kat's at some point and get her spare one.

Hmm.. im not sure what to do with my 30+ C17 brochures that i dont need anymore now im about to start C1..

Id throw them in my recycling bin but after reading this story (from here in Liverpool) im worried id be slammed for disposing of "commercial waste" in my domestic waste!

Id offer to send them to someone else on an older mailplan to use but they are so heavy it would cost more than you could buy them off avon probably!

  • Hi just submitted my brochure 17 order tipped aboyt £900 couldnt believe it :-), just wondering as im on mail plan O and nearly all the sale stuff is outta stock if i shoud bother with books 1/2 as nearly all sale goods or if i should give my customers a break???. Just wondering what others normally do.

    Thanks
  • Wow Bunneycat - that's amazing. Well done!

Johanne - I've always worried about the commercial waste thing. I take my old brochures down to the tip myself (making sure there is nothing to identify where they've come from), but that wouldn't be an option for those who don't drive. Why not contact your SL or ASM to see if they might like them for new signings?

As to brochures 1 - 4, I did them all last year (although 2-weekly is a real pain!) and to my surprise I did quite well on all of them. I think some people wait for the sale items and then stock up. The only book I struggled with all year was 13, during the school holidays, but I think everyone else was the same.

As I am an SL I 'reuse' my books by putting expired leaflets on the front and canvassing with them. If you're really worried why not ask the last customers to look at the books if they'll pop them in their paper recycling? Then it's no industrial waste, it's an old catalogue they no longer need ;) I know my customers would do that for me if I asked, and they might think I was slightly odd at first (they'd be right :rotfl:) but I know they'd understand if I explained.
  • well, just taken delivery of our second campaign, following our follow up on saturday, kindly were given 60 brochures rather than the usual 20 ( didnt seem enough ) am on a mission this month to collect £300 in sales ( even tho its a short month )

    i need some ideas.
My deliveries always used to come at 8am i work 10-2
    What else can i do?
I did consider getting delivery to my work but as they cant garantee the time i may miss it if they come before 10. (noone is in the building before then)

    Hi liza83

Can you not get it delivered to a relative or friends house thats in through the day or be really cheeky and ask if it can be delivered to their workplace. Cant think of anything else to suggest. I get my delivery sent to my work but we have security on the desk before I arrive so Im lucky that way.

Hope you get it sorted out .;)
