Sorry Pinzy - can't help on that one. I keep all my HT's, sad person that I am! You can view them on the website though if you go through as if to place your order.

    I need another rant!

I have a customer who was quite good with payments earlier in the year but, probably because of the credit crunch and Christmas, has been a nightmare the last twice. No answer to emails - never in if I call - OH answers her phone and hangs up as soon as I speak. I've now sent her an email saying that she can split the order in two if she wants and pay half now and half in a week or so, so we'll see if she answers that (I've also said that I have to pay Avon next week and will have to make up the shortfall myself if I don't collect most of my money - thought I'd try the guilt trip angle ;) )

I'm reluctant to lose her because she was recommended by a very good customer and I think she's just on a tight budget, but then aren't we all, and anyway she knew when delivery was when she ordered. Large orders are all very well, but in this case it's more than my profit

OK - rant over - I'll shut up and go away now :D

Ellie, if they're hanging up the phone when you speak I wouldn't have them as a customer anymore, it's just rude.
Or, if you're less militant than me ;) , at the very least I'd send the stuff back and send them a polite email saying "unfortunately I have had to send the goods back to Avon, let me know when you feel able to order again, and I'll deliver the catalogues as normal".

Funny thing is, I'd decided after Xmas I wasn't going to bother with the people who I had never gotten books back from so far, but this time round I've caught 2 people in who, with no instigation from me, apologised and said please keep dropping the books round! :)

Thanks for the pointers but HT online doesn't show the clearance section and it's that I'm after.
    :)

Lyns, I sent you a message on facebook. I can send you one if you like, but I'm totally skint and would need to ask for postage, I know it's only a small amount but I am totally broke! I'd try your upline / ASM first if you can get hold of them.

Edited: oops just seen your reply on facebook!

Just put my order online and was all confused by the subtotal being lower than expected but then remembered sold 2 x bond girl moneymakers which don't go on the order form  :rotfl:

Have an order coming from a girl at work and one customer is phoning me before monday with her order and a few books left to collect so will hopefully bump it up a bit as currently orders are at £287 which is my lowest to date.

    Hi,

I want to order something from Avon site and it's says coming soon or something like that (the Today perfume). any idea when it may come back in stock? (does it ussually takes long or not. I know someone who likes it so it would be a good present... if it comes in stock in a week or so)

    Hi lynz,

I have a spare hello tomorrow, you can come and collect if you want?

  • i need some ideas.
My deliveries always used to come at 8am i work 10-2
My next door neighbour is also a rep
recently the delivery has been coming later and its been put in my bin cupboard all well and good but its also the same day as bin collection day.
Luckily my neighbour spotted the boxes and took them in for me.
She will be going back to work soon so cant really rely on her taking my boxes in all the time
I live in a bit of a dodgy area so dont feel the boxes would be safe in my shed (which is full of junk anyway) or my bin cupboard (normally full of bins)
I once asked my brother to take my delivery in and he managed to miss it and it was delivered to his not very nice neighbour took ages to get it back!
    What else can i do?
I did consider getting delivery to my work but as they cant garantee the time i may miss it if they come before 10. (noone is in the building before then)

I had a customer like this was fab at first orders where always big orders and she was always in when i called with the money ready then one day I called with an order and she asked if i could come back for the money and i stupidly left the order with her. then she was never in! the final straw was when i called her up she said she was in and her money was here i knocked at the house could here her talking in the kitchen (window was open) her hubby opned door and said she wasnt there!!!! and slammed door on me!
I just took the loss and never went back to her.

    Hi all, more questions!!
I am going to get one of anniversary boxes and was wondering whether the £50 will count towards my MOV totals? Also I have decided to become a sales leader, does anyone have any words of wisdom for me??
I would like to say how fab everyone here is, I was so daunted about starting with Avon and the info found here is just brilliant!! Thank you to all!!
Debt free = December 2010...as of March 2006 it is now January 2010..... as of December 2008 it is now December 2009 :j hopefully sooner!!
:jDEBT FREE:j January 2012, took longer but I got there, all by myself, through sheer hard work and pride!
  • HI all could I het a bit of quick advice on credits, never done them before.
1 - Do I just put the credit through the online system and then send the stuff back (in an envelope / bag / on their own??) with the courier when she delivers my next order?
2- When does the credit come off my balance - do I i just manually deduct the credit amounts before I pay Avon, or will they do it when my next order is processed and the items are back with them?

    Thanks guys!
