Hi Donnie, the only response to post #857 was the above which is not related to the PC for sale, but rather their PC for fixing?

Sorry if I'm not understanding properly. Thanks for any help though, I can see looking at this page that you're the wo/man in the know!

That's ok. The 'no' referred to the laptop. :) Low powered processor and no webcam and microphone.

Though in saying that, if your needs are simple and you feel that the machine fits your needs, it's not an unreasonable price to pay.
The other caveat is mentioned by spud17.
  • is there a live upto £300 laptop suggestion with 2ghz dual core, dvd drive & webcam (HDMI nice) ?

Don't know how a Netbook will fare with online games, as I don't know their system requirements.
Perhaps someone else will. This price is fine.
  • I've been looking at a Toshiba L450 from argos clearance.

It'll mainly be used for skype video calls, internet and storing photos and music, maybe the odd DVD.

Seems to be a good price (£300) from a respectable make.

Any reason to stay away from it?

    Many thanks, specs below.

Intel Celeron dual core T3100 1.9GHz processor speed 1MB cache
    2GB DDR3 RAM
    250GB
    15.6in High definition display 1366 x 768 pixels.
    DVD+RW/DVD-RW(read/write) Dual layer
Dedicated Intel GMA with 4500MHD graphics card.
    4-in-1 media card reader
    3 USB ports
    1 Ethernet port
    B/g/n wireless/WiFi enabled
    Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium
Up to 135 mins battery life

  • Hi Donnie or others

I am interested in the MSI laptop mentioned in post 845 but I am unclear whether it has a dvd drive, can you clarify? If not can you suggest another option with similar spec for around the £300 mark that does

    Thanks
