One year warranty shows they believe it's not going to break on you. Dell are generally a reliable company. I've used Argos Clearance for a refurbished, and so far I couldn't be happier.

I bought this - eBuyer product 189888 (Won't let me post a link) - But it was riddled with faults and is now on it's way back to eBuyer. Any ideas for an alternative?

I have just reserved the Toshiba L500 1XJ for my son, just thought I would ask opinions on whether it is good value for money.
Also for info, Toshiba offer a 2 year extended guarantee for £52 which I think is great value, giving the laptop 3 years cover overall.

The link shows that is has a "Intel Celeron T3100 (800MHz) processor", not a dual core....
