That is an i3 I think just got one for the DD from Argos at £369 with a £10 discount.which was used towards a printer.

Tesco also offer one at £430 ish advertising it as i5 but the label on the laptop in store states i3.
The model number which NiftyDigits quoted is an i5 - see the Samsung page for that model number.

There are some strange reviews on this. Seems it is slow for some people. Sounds like faulty/misconfigured units to me.

Some better reviews here, if they are to be believed. Argos want £499-99, £150 more than Asda, who are OOS again!

You are right the code is one letter different now I have checked AONUK.:o

I have just been into Tesco (for something else) and they are still advertising an i5 at £449, whilst it is labelled as an i3 on the keyboard:think:

  • Is it me, or are there very few good deals around at the moment for laptops?

My Sony Vaio is virtually on it's last legs, can only work if plugged into the mains (unplug and it dies).

Think I may have to go the eBay route for something

Maybe it's because it's the start of term, so the sellers don't need to discount because they're selling a lot anyway.

Yeah, might be a bad time to buy. We need a new one though the old one packed in :(

I bought this one for £350. Nice machine but W8 is driving me mad, and I keep getting "limited internet", not sure why. If I can work these issues out, I'll keep it, otherwise Amazon can have it back.

I don't find it to be particularly slow though.

You might just need a new battery, instead of a new laptop altogether.
