If not as described, you'll get a full refund anyway.0 -
I'd be very careful before potentially wasting your time as the item details state an "AMD E Series dual core E450", that is usually more accurate than the Argos listing details.
I think that you are overstating the case. You write as if it could be a life changing experience. Very careful?
But the main mistake that you are making is that there are three different models on sale at the same time and because of your post, the OP could potentially miss out on a decent SandyBridge laptop at a good price.
The key is that this is listed as the 2.3GHz version, corresponding with this Argos listing(which in fact lists it both a Pentium and an i3) whereas the machine to which you refer is here. The third type is here
I think that you should have been more careful in the way that you worded your post, as there is more benefit to ordering it, than not.
The model in my link should be this one: NP-RV520-A07UK.... but who knows?
If not, return it at no cost to yourself and get a refund.0 -
In the Q&As on the eBay listing, Argos say:
"Having looked into your query, I can confirm that the exact model of the Samsung 15.6 Inch Series 3 500GB 2.3GHz Laptop advertised is the NP-RV515I."
Hope that helps.0 -

You waited more than two years to post that??You should have read on...
Q.
Processor speed?
This is listed as
Samsung 15.6 Inch Series 3 500GB 2.3GHz Laptop
but the specs say
Intel Pentium Dual Core T4500 1.66GHz processor speed
Samsung list this as
RV520 15.6" Essential Notebook
Processor Intel® Core™ i3 Processor 2310M (2.10GHz, 3MB)
Which is correct?

Hi, thank you for your question.
Having looked into your query, I can confirm the processor speed of the Samsung 15.6 Inch Series 3 500GB 2.3GHz Laptop is 2.2 GHz i3. This information will be updated on our website.
Thank you for using Argos Q&A.

It doesn't take much to work out that your reply refers to this listing

I dont think the G6 has wifi but thats not a problem - and it is purple so will be oohed and ahhed at...
I know we can do better at Argos Outlet and ebuyer etc but she's not really keen on using an online site ( ??? ) .
The laptop is mainly for browsing so doesnt need to be really powerful but I dont see the point in paying 250 for something with a 1.2ghz processor and 1 meg of ram and then being dissapointed when it starts freezing up when you try to do more than one task.
Thanks for your help and opinions
Forgot to say budget is £300 really - but can push it a little0 -

Seriously, you need to put your foot down and overrule your mother on this one. The only benefit that you get from buying on the high street is that you can take it away with you that day.
But there are many benefits to buying online. The best being that you have a 'no quibble' evaluation period and also that you often get much more for your money.
It's just not acceptable paying that kind of money and then having to settle for a first gen i3.0 -
Thanks, I appreciate your comments.
Will look at the Fujitsu in the flesh.
NiftyDigits - I totally agree with you regarding better value online - I will try again to persuade her - the Aspire 5560G that you mentioned in an early post looks very good for the same price, way more spec than is needed, but I feel purple may still win the day.0 -
