Can anyone advise on the two toshiba laptops that amazon have on sale:
Toshiba Satellite C660-19G
and the
Toshiba Satellite C660-125
The main difference I can see is the processor and the RAM. Is it better to have more ram and slightly worse processor or the other way around.
Has anyone got one of these and can tell me what they are like? There is only £10 difference between them.Courage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death.

Also both have single core processors. Not only should you be looking for dual core, for at least a small amount of future proofing, but for that price level you should be able to find a dual core CPU without too much difficulty.0 -
I am confused now! When I looked up both processors on intel site it said they were both dual core! And I am really sorry I didn't mean Ram I meant hard drive size whoops! The one with the better processor has a smaller hard drive.Courage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death.

Yup my info suggests both to be dual core,
The Celeron could be faster according to

Celeron t3500 scores 1510
Don't list PentiumT4500, but t4300 scores 987Move along, nothing to see.0 -

Which of these i5 Toshiba Laptops are better spec?
I've saw 3 laptops and I'm undecided which one to go for and wondering which is the better spec? I just need to decide the screen size and I want a non glossy finish and an i5 processor for faster performance.
Any advice much welcome and I'm a great Toshiba fan

Can I ask please is this laptop worth considering
Packard Bell Dot S/P-015 10.1 inch Netbook ( Atom N450, 160GB HDD, 1GB Ram , Wifi, Webcam, Windows 7 Starter) Black
Amazon have it for £203.99
I only need it for word processing - light surfing when travelling - so weight matters.0 -
I have just seen the samsung RV510AOB from 123 electrical for £348.99. It has Memory 2GB Hard drive 500GB. Is this better than the 3GB memory 320GB?0

If you are mainly word processing and want something very light, then it might be an idea to try out the different keyboards of netbooks in your local PC World, Currys, etc as the keyboard quality might make a difference. But a 1GB RAM Windows 7 Starter netbook should suffice for word processing. MS Word might be more of a memory hog (so perhaps check this out when you visit the shops too), but OpenOffice works OK on this set up.
As for netbook deals, the similarly spec'd MSI Wind U135 from Argos at £179 looks like a very good deal. The Argos spec on the website is wrong since the U135 has faster b/g/N wifi rather than just b/g wifi, according to reviews I've just googled like this PCAdvisor U135 review and this Pocket-Lint U135 review (there are other good reviews if you google them too).0
