After doing loads of research, which do you think is better?
Acer 5472Z with P6100 processor, 4GB Ram, 500GB or Dell Inspiron 15 with T4500 processor, 4GB RAM, 500GB
or are there any other makes/models that I should be considering.
Thanks0 -
I purchased a toshiba laptop from tesco local store for £299.
The link below is for exactly the same laptop from comet.

what do you guys think?0 -
You got yourself a bargain although no way is it worth the £500 that Comet are charging. BHS Direct have it for £375 which is about right for the RAM and hard disk size. The one big down side to it is the lack of HDMI connection but may be that won't bother you.0

Thinking of getting one of these myself, is that processor (celeron t3500, 2.1ghz) a decent one? I'll mainly be using it for surfing and pictures.
Ta in advance

Hoping to buy this within the next 2 hours but thought I'd post it up first in the off chance that someone with more experience than me is on to comment...

Over the last several months, at different times, I have helped both my mum and my girlfriend's mum choose decent value laptops around the £350 price range, and in both cases after a lot of searching online, visiting the usual suspects like PC World, Currys, Comet, etc after being enticed by their websites only to find the more expensive laptops in stock, I reached the conclusion that for us it was simply easer to go along to our local Tescos and see what they had on their shelves. Tescos have usually got their best deal, the one they've negotiated a bulk discount for, on their shelves. Both mums are happy with their purchases (Acer laptops), and haven't had any problems. So I'd recommend looking at your local big Tescos store as a first choice, perhaps Argos as a second choice (the argos website has useful reviews as well as a local store in stock indicator).0
