You can never have enough tomatoes!
You can if you are allergic to them... sob...I used to love juicey fresh tomatoes - I really miss them.
At least I can still eat them cooked - whatever I'm allergic to is destroyed by cooking.
I think I've been a gadget geek recently... I bought a lovely (but kind of unnecessary ) netbook a couple of weeks ago!I keep looking at TVs too. I have 2 elderly 14" portable CRT TVs but I'd love a flatscreen 28 or 32 inch TV... ohhhh and a new sofa... :wall: Must enter the lottery sometime... :rotfl:
Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!

Awww hun, I'm sorry.....least you can eat them cooked, image if you couldn't
....shall I talk about the big fat slugs I found this morning instead?
Of course the netbook was necessary taka  we just need to think how to word it......."an invaluable tool for keeping in touch with MSE and keep your finaces updated"........:D
May be you could decide between a sofa or a TV and beg for vouchers towards it at Xmas?
Work has been nice and quiet so far which is brill for getting back into the swing of things.
I'm pretty sure all my spreadsheets are updated now so only a little number crunching to do. DH's bonus actually comes through this payday(I was expecting it next month) and he's putting £1000.00 towards the CC :jI'm sure I can raise the other half somehow........think.....think.......
I've got the house and life insurance to look at this weekend so hopefully there's money to be saved there.
Anyhoo, plan for tonight is grocery shopping and chicken and salad for tea.Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

Good luck finding the other half of the CC money.
My netbook was pretty frugal actually. It was 100% paid for with (a) money from surveys/cashback/vouchers earnt this year (b) a bit of birthday money from my parents. My Dad was wanting one too so we clubbed together and bought online (£20 each cheaper than in store), used topcashback (~£26 due in a couple of months) and managed to find a £50 off total spend code! :j
He was amazed! I also discovered traces of MSE on my parents computer too!
:rotfl:
Enjoy your tea!Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!

If you remember at the beginning of the year I worked out an action plan. Here’s an update on the same……..p.s. I’ve decided to do this in small chunks as it was a long post in the first place! The Mortgage stands at £108,800ish and allows us to overpay by 10% in January. As this works out to about £10,600 in Jan 2010 it’s doubtful that we could op by the full amount but I would ideally like to aim for an op of £5,000. (minimum)Our fixed rate of 5.44% finishes on the 9th March 2010 and in the current market our house could be priced anywhere from £103,000 up to £108,000. If this stays the same or if house prices go down even further our chances of remortgaging could be difficult especially at a decent rate.… or any rate at all! From a dip into the mortgage sites the most they’ll lend is 90% but we can always hope that if we kept with the A&L they might be a bit flexible. The mortgage calculator shows that the mortgage should be about £106360 in Feb 10 (normal payments). If we pay off £5000 it will be £101360 which is £4160 short of 10% of the house in this current market :eek:So here’s hoping that the market improves, we win the lottery, the SVR stays really low (to justify not remortgaging) or our savings improve dramatically.Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck
