    Hi SmlSave

Wow, you look sooo organised! Well done on the loan, and on reallocating the money straight away.

Your bridesmaids sound like a pain, I hope it all works out well. I am getting married next Saturday so I do sympathise. My mother thinks my wedding is all about her... I think there is always someone there to stress you out.... in case you didn't have enough on your mind already!

    Hi everyone :)

Thank you for all your posts, you're such good friends :D

Its been a busy week and not at all MS as all the wedding bills were due!

Going to try and get the bridemaids to meet up next week to discuss timings etc (and to see if they can cope in the same room) Hopefully a couple of weeks of quiet means they might have softened a bit.

FIL has chucked a spanner in the honeymoon works, it gets a bit complicated but basically we were going to fly out and meet MIL and FIL in Holland to stay on their boat. Now MIL can't go and FIL has decided to travel over on the the same day as us ...but drive...and he's kindly offered to give us a lift. Thing is, we booked our flights in April and can't get a refund, we can change them at an extra cost of £150.

:( either way I look at it we're losing £235.

Plan a) We take our flights as is. OH worries over his Dad driving 8 hrs by himself.
Plan b) We change our flights and go to Prague next year which costs us £150 and the actual flights themeselves cost £170 so we lose £215
    Plan c) ???

FIL has offered to pay for the petrol and ferry to Holland and he sees it as we get to Holland either way. I just can't get past the fact that we've paid £235 for something we didn't need to.
Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck :)

Plan c) Fly FIL over and back?
Otherwise just think of the cost of a (part) chauffeur driven journey to The Netherlands, but, how are you getting back - will the return tickets remain valid if you don't use the outbound ones?
  • Plan d) Stuff the lot of them, return to proper Honeymoon with no parental interference!

Aww man... have I really got all these wedding nightmares to come. We can't even get past the early stage of finding a decent venue!
