I might just start a diary myself, I struggle with this sort of thing because my partner is self employed, so we are unsure of our income from one month to the next !
But it is really helpful to read all the great ideas everyone has !

:j I am really going to try my hardest to seriously money save :j

    Thanks to you all

    Hi SmlSave
What a fantastic thread. You've inspired me to make some real changes. For various reasons I've been wasting quite a bit of money and after reading through your thread I've cancelled my LoveFilm subscription, which I wasn't using - dead easy way to recover the best part of £10 per month - as I've realised that it's all the small things that really do add up.
Your wedding sounds fantastic, best of luck with it!

Can you believe it!?! Its June :T and we've got nice sunny weather
    Yes it most certainly counts!

Oh goody :dance:That means the shopping I did Saturday counts as I used my A&L credit card which accrues points.

Let us know if you decide to start a diary lovinmykids, we'll come and say hello :hello:

Nice to meet you sarah_26  Well done for cancelling your subscription:T

I'm afraid I can't tell you how much I spent on Saturday yet as its not showing on my card yet but it was a fair bit :o I'll confess all soon....

I'm sure everone's enjoying the lovely weather and there are those, like me, who are a bit red today :rotfl:To make up for the extravagant Sat we had a MSE Sunday where the shed got sorted as did our wardrobes. There's now a pile of clothes waiting to go to the charity shop (I know I could try and sell them on ebay but I admit to being too lazy).

Oh and I finally got round to listing what's in the freezer and am creating a meal plan to use it all up, amazing how much stuff just hides in there

Hope everyone gets some time to spend in the sun today!

Just trying to catch up on the threads since I was away; really good to hear all your plans are coming together for the wedding and budgets are (more or less) all running to plan. Those remaining days to the wedding will fly by so you'll hardly notice them!

Great weather as you say, good outlook for the week too if a little cooler; we'll soon be worried about plants and rainfall but hopefully not the "D" word (drought) after such terrible summers these past few years! However, of course, we don't want to encourage anything other than fair weather for your big day, and if it is slightly cloudy just remember it helps with the photography to get details of your dress etc on comparison with strong sunshine.

Nice to see you Stu :)

Weather like this week's would be lovely for the wedding day :D but you can't count on the weather so I'll be happy if its not blowing a gale or raining flat out :D

I fully expect our council to cry drought if it stays sunny for another week  they just can't cope the poor things...

OH has suddenly decided that he wants to get trim for August  now with only 65 days to go I think he's left it a little late - bless 'im - but who am I to doubt? I will let you know how it goes....

Re the wedding I put down the deposits for the rings today - finally :T Our budget was £400 for both and we've come in at .....£399! :T Not bad eh?

Thanks taka :) How's the £5k a year going? I'm keeping up with the thread but only just!

    Size 12-14 TPA - you interested? :D

I've created a meal plan form the freezer contents and so the grocery bill should be fairly low this month :) Our fridge has been playing up lately by trying to become a freezer  but thankfully has corrected itself, which is great as empire (who we have the guarantee with) has gone bust. !!!!!!
