Hi SmlSave,
Thought I would pop by to see how things are going. Just reading through your list of expenses - it is amazing how much can be spent in so little time and it is much better reading somebody elses! :rotfl:
You might want to change your signature though, unless you are really going to live off £5 a year?

Went swimming last night and shall go tonight so that's my aim of 2 visits a week done. It wasn't a healthy lunch thou - I had two packets of crisps and a muffin along with my ham and mayo sandwich  I've obviously got the munchies.Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

Hope you are eating enough normally to avoid those munchies in future?0 -
I also had two hot cross buns and a toffee biscuit later too yesterday :eek:Hope you are eating enough normally to avoid those munchies in future?
No worries bout that Stu I love food too much:EasterBun :rotfl:
Think I was just thirsty yesterday but ate instead of drinking! I envy those people who know when they're full - I have hollow legs
Spent £3 on lunch as I was running late again - i love my bed - and we're out for a work meal tonight, at the local weatherspoons so it shouldn't be too expensive.
Looked at my savings yesterday and they're trundling along but I'm really waiting for my ISA interest to be worked out to see if it will pay off the rest of my loan, my fingers are crossed.Just reading through your list of expenses - it is amazing how much can be spent in so little time and it is much better reading somebody elses! :rotfl:
Terrible where the money goes isn't itand most of it didn't have to be spent either. If I can cut down on my spending money then that's more to go into the savings for the OP in January
Or I'll just have to pray that I win the lottery or get a bonus at work - equal chances on both thenCurrently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck
Phase 1 - Emergency Fund - Complete :j
Phase 2 - £20,000 Mortgage Fund - Underway0 -
I know I am a horrible person and everybody works differently and that sometimes its hard to remember all the things to do...but is it sooo hard to have a little common sense!?! Ahhhhhhhhhh
grump over
Ended up spending £6.10 on meal out last night and boss treated us to a drink and pudding tooit was lovely.
This weekend's plans are:
1. Get flower quotes
2. Tidy house
3. Pick up rest of decking
4. Have dinner round MIL's (to be)
There's no dancing this Sunday so thats £6 saved so we might renew our cinema cards. I'm hoping if I get motivated a bit of spring cleaning might happen - hopefully
I've been to the gym swimming twice this week and will go for a third time tonight :T
My five a day is going ok but is a lot more hard work than I thought it would be
The credit card is pratically paid off and stands at £2.98
OH's job is safe too :j so Jan looks like it should be a good month apart from the amount of money I've frittered away
Hope you all have a good weekend!Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

Oops…
I’ve overspent by £6 already from my cash budget of £120 and it’s only the 27th! I also went out last night and spent £12 on a meal and drinks…my lovely friends bought the other drinks I had so at least I saved money there.
Birthday party in town Sat night tooNot a brilliant start to a MSE yearI must do better…I must do better…I must do better…:wall:Thanks for the encouragement smf2I managed 4½ portions of fruit/veg yesterday and plan to get to five today. I should go swimming tonight but am currently not in the mood; hopefully I’ll get all energised when I get home tonight.
I hope everyone had a good weekend! The house is now tidy and we had a nice meal round MIL's. OH refused to pick up the decking as he's currently in a hire car so I'll have to wait a little longer
Re the flower quotes: turns out calla lillies are not only the most expensive flowers I could have chosen but they are also impossible to quote for as they fluxuate so much in price...anything from as little as £6 each up to £15 each
Oh well, at least I can look at where I've spent the money this month and know not to in Febraury
A nice bagel and cake (all from home) for lunch today, I have learnt my lesson about being lazy and buying lunchCurrently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck
