will try to catch up later but sleep is still winning in the evenings whenever I sit down to do anything...

I am now even more annoyed, I popped in to see if maybe the 'scheduled maintainence' was finished and here are you all, been posting all day. I've been getting the 'forum closed 8am -9pm' message instead of the forum all day!!! Guess there was just a few of us as hex and Johanne posted on the facebook page too.

Michelle, have you got a bed for him? Might be an ideal time to move him from his cot. We did that with DS2, he was about 20 months and couldn't actually walk yet but didn't have much of a choice when he broke something on it.

Hope the OT goes well pigpen

Ds2s clinic appointment went as expected, no change on this meds so they're giving him 6 weeks off it then try something else. I am starting to wonder if any of these wonder drugs to help reduce bed wetting actually work.

I've missed a conference already, I'd crossed the wrong date out in my diary when they were rearranged, first thing I knew was a 'where were you' email, oops. Have several meetings and conferences in now, calendar is getting rather full up!

Haven't done too much in way of housework, helped DP clean the cars, 2 loads laundry, went to get a seperate HD to 'clean up' the computers especially so I can reboot one completely, took DS2 to his appointment, cooked meals and filled/emptied DW but that's about all so far. DS2s football and cycling group tonight so won't get much done then either......oh well, always tomorrow

I'm full of energy today so I'll come and fly down and help how how does that sound? ;)

If we could all do that wouldn't it be great?

As to wonder drugs for bet wetting one of my brothers used to wet the bed but then there were no drugs he did eventually grow out of it. They set a routine for him and I think that helped greatly.

I have just come back from the clinic and my son who is 16weeks old only ways 10lb 11oz, for those of you who have kids and understand growth charts he is right on th bottom line - 0.4th centile. He started off on the 9th centile (same as DS1) but has dropped 2 centiles. If he drops below the bottom line I will need to be referred to a paediatrician. Basically he has only put on 1lb in the last 6 weeks. I didn't have him weighed for so long as it is my 2nd child and I wasn't worried. He seemed to be getting heavier, looks healthy, has brigt eyes and even skin tone is happy and content, and he's sleeping throught the night - so I didn't feel that anything was wrong. Now I feel really gulilty.
I am breast feeding at the moment. The health visitor has advised that I should increase his breast feeds during the day, and try formula if I want to. Well, I practically made the decision straight away and bought some formula. Simply because to try and introduce more feeds during the day with a 3year old running around, taking him to and from nursery soon, and everything else with DH working really long hours, would be really difficult. Although I asked if I should wake him in the middle of the night and sleep feed him, HV said maybe not to break his sleeping pattern as I don't want him to then stop sleeping through.
So I've found some bottles (we'd bought some new ones anyway - just in case and never used them), sterillised them and boiled some water. Now I have to go through the pulava of making up feeds, washing bottles, making sure I always have clean bottles available and a supply of boiling water, and plus formula milk is so expensive it's about £7 - £8 a box and I think it only lasts a couple of weeks. But I suppose I will have to do all this as I obviously want the best for him. It's just so easy to pull out my boob. I've got that programme to watch from last night still 'other peoples breast milk' - I'll watch that later.
Sorry to go on a rant, but I feel a bit  at the moment. Haven't done any flying today. I don't feel like it now, just need to sort dinner out and try and relax.
Housework only gets noticed when it's not done.
My fake plants died because I did not pretend to water them.
Can never keep up with the thread - otherwise I'll never get anything done! But hugs to All :grouphug:

Busy getting absolutely no where. DS3 has just rollerskated over my foot, my bunion foot which was hurting today anyhow.

Think I'll have to stay at the party as there is no hope of him being able to skate on his own. Maybe we will arrive late and go early.

Big kids have got mud over or holes in all their school troussers - goign to try to brush it off.

Hugs Flybabybunting - there's always something to worry about isn't there. I had the opposite problem as my two's height was above the 100 percentile and they wanted me to go more regularly for checks. What they expected me to do I don't know? Cut their legs off? Easier said than done but try and do minimal flying, it'll wait. You'll know what's best for your little one and at least you can keep an eye on it now. He could just be having a growin spurt and using all that food to stretch rather than put weight on. Hugs to you both xx

    Any advice please?
I wondered if any of you had some advice. I was called over for a chat by ds's teacher at hometime. To cut a long story short, ds is a reasonably bright child whose writing is amazing for a 7 year old and he has no problems at all with work in class BUT (you might have known there was a but) he doesn't produce much work. In my opinion he is too busy daydreaming about other things and doesn't concentrate. If it's not done he's not made to stay in and finish it so I guess he doesn't see the point in hurrying. I've told him he needs to work harder and concentrate. This has been an ongoing problem for the last two years and I know it is a problem. The teacher has asked me to address the problem....what do I do? Thanks in advance.
  • Michelle - I have a 2 year old.....I know just how you feel. DS's favourite game is "bounce!" or Terrorising the new baby by bouncing the chair and shouting "wake up"

Flybabybunting - lots of hugs. I am sure your DS is fine. Are you going to combine formula with breat feeding or stop altogether. Hopefully DS will start to thrive on it. I know its easy to say but don't feel guilty about not going to clinic sooner.

My house is looking quite presentable although I do need to do the floors. DS is now back from his grans and is proceeding to destroy my good work in the conservatory by getting out every toy he has ever had!! It is never ending!!

  • Mudbath - when not on maternity leave I am a year 3 teacher (assuming your son is y3) and they do not produce a huge amount of writing...particularly boys. I would say that the teacher needs to address this by making her expectations of the amount to be completed very clear and explaining that they willl have to complete the work at break/in golden time etc. I don't really know what she would want you to do as you are not there and do not know how much was expected of him HTH

flybabybunting don't panic, babies can't read books, they don't know how much weight they should be putting on. I am sure if they become concerned they will do something about it. I definately wouldn't be waking him in the middle of the night.
tarotangel, thanks, we've tried routine and one variety of meds with DS2. He's 7 and not grown out of it yet, fingers are still crossed as his brothers improved loads when he was 9.
Kazwookie I get mine from various places, to add to those mentioned Wilkinsons and HomeBargains, however I prefer the stronger Starlclens for ovens.
Pollybear sounds like your dog has it sussed, mine won't go near the door of the vets or groomers, no amount of treats he'd forgive them for.
G&B I had a woman blast her horn at me today because she came onto my side of the road when passing a traffic island.......some very strange people, if they were as good a driver as they think they are we'd have no probles/accidents etc
Denisefowler well done to your son, well done with the repayments too, fingers firmly crossed here!
Dusty hope they haven't done too much damage, my DS1s gone through 3 pairs since he started back (as in beyond repair not dirty!) Hope the skating thing goes ok

DPs gone to bed, he hasn't slept since yesterday just before 12 noon for some unknown reason. DSs activities start at 6pm so will see what he's like just before then, need to see what the weather is like too as they did say it might end up rained off.

    Tonights missions -

    Make packed lunches
Sort clean uniforms for in morning
Shower for me and bath boys
    Clean kitchen benches
Empty whats left of shopping from boxes I just noticed :o
    Hook new printer up
    Transfer some stuff to HD
Write list of what I need to take this weekend
    Clean/dry laundry away
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb
