denise flower - Valli beat me too it, we love Moska (so much that this week I've ordered a spare pan and the cookbook for it - whole thread on old style if interested)

flower and valli - the team challenge wont last I'm just making the most of it

amethystcash - I am always moving stuff from one room to another until it gets to either of the tips (the spare room or our room :o )

working backwards on the thread now -

Pigpen what about making a salmon tagliatelle

I've just treated myself (well sort of and the kids) I just ordered a new contract phone (a really rubbish one) but I get 600 mins, unlimited texts plus a free Nintendo Wii and Guitar hero 3 plus guitar (which will all go for the kids xmas pressies) for the same amount as I am paying now on the same network :rotfl: . The phone I was going to have but I will give to DS as his hasnt worked properly since he spilt yoghurt on it, and his casing can be used to replace the casing on DD's (they have the same phone) as she has cracked the screen. Money saving all round I think. Now just need to cancel old contract  . I just really hope Carphonewarehouse live up to the deal crossfingers.gif

    hello all

after being at the pc all day at work (which is such a struggle after my hols!) I can't bring myself to spend ages online, but just popped in to say hi.

I've been wondering about getting a Remoska as there's just me and DH and our oven takes ages to get to temp, no lakeland around here so maybe i'll just take the plunge and do it online.

right, need to order sister's bday prezzie from amazon then I'm going to wash up - DH said he'd do it but he's been studying all night and I have been chatting on the phone so I don't mind!

Hex – massive hugs that’s a huge jump in your mortgage

Polkadot - stuff the woman in the cake shop, bet she couldn’t do it if she tried. When my lad was 4 he drew a face of Thomas the tank engine which I traced and then used the ready to roll icing to recreate his drawing on his cake for nursery. I have a photo (predigital) of him holding it up and he looks so proud that its his drawing on the cake.

Sm – glad you picking up some work to keep you going

Vanilla – hope poor Bo’s ok, sounds like he’s a handful

GnB – glad the time table is ok for you

Johanne – hugs, I’d get the tea at a reasonable time and leave his on a plate for reheating if he holes up in the pub. Hope you got over the shock with little one.

Rach – we love ours, just bung stuff in together and switch on and leave til done. Some on the thread have said about putting it on a timer and coming in from work to a hot meal but I’m not so sure, maybe going to the pub while it cooks

Hugs to Mudbath and anyone else who needs it as I kinda had a flick through the thread at work lunchtime, just cant remember who to reply to. Welcome/welcome back to any new flyers or returners as well

Off to make lunches and then take one of my 3 books to bed to read

See you all tomorrow with whatever our dear leader has in store for us :rotfl:

See, I do keep some rooms clean!

Hex, I'm beginning to hate you because you appear to have the house and garden I would love to have! :p

Have you ever considered adopting someone who is probably old enough to be your mother? If you have, I'm freee.....

  • Good evening everyone!

Am chilling out watching Maestro celebrating the fact that since getting home from work I've managed to do level 2 in the kitchen AND CLEANED THE OVEN!! I keep opening the door with the light on to see how shiny it looks now! (Thanks to this site I managed to do it without resorting to Mr Muscle - so can still breathe!) Thanks Pigpen!!

Also managed HHI as DD2 has managed to get through both school pinafores in 2 days! One covered in lunch, one covered in something else- not sure what but didn't look too good. So a quick wash and iron needed!

STILL haven't done the Brownie unit accounts - but decided that I need a chilled wine and sit down with candles lit. Might have to go in search of a biccie or two just to complete the evening!

Hugs to everyone who needs one, and congrats to those starting courses.

Ameythstcash - definitely worth ebaying stuff. We've done 3 lots (including carp from DH garage) and it's great to see it go and to get some cash. You'd be amazed what someone will pay for some old piece of metal for an RS2000 escort!!!!! (Still - each to their own!)

Right - where are the biccies?

Mudbath - hugs. It's always tough even if you are expecting it.

Polkadot - the choc box cake looks amazing - I wouldn't even know where to start with something like that.

Pigpen - am sure the induction will be fine - go for it!

Serena - hugs and hope today went well

lil-me - wow! My house suddenly doesn't seem so bad ;)

chunky79 - how nice of you to be such a good friend

Diva - hugs and sorry I made you cry :o

sexymouse - good news about the supply - hope all the schools are ok!

Well this working lark is tiring - think a 2 day working week would be good for me!! Got to do an assembly tomorrow  and don't feel like I'm organised!! Only 15 mins tho so shouldn't be too bad.

Very limited flying at the mo - will be better once I'm back into the routine of work (Ihope!!). Will do bin in a bit as it's rubbish day tomorow.

  • Almost forgot - tooti i would say the GTD - David Allen is the best for all round - i love it and just wish i could fully implement it. Check these hyperlinks out and see what you think, but i found he talked a lot of sense. In principle, i find it hard to keep it up though, but i still try to group jobs together - just less good at updating the lists regularly enough. I find it works quite well if i write one job on a post it note though, and then put it in the back of my diary, and then i can move it around to when i want to do it.

thanks michelle I will check the links and see - i love that kind of book.

I am another that moves stuff from room to rrom because I have no real storage - but not any more!!! I am dealing with stuff now - after years of clutter in the lounge now there is only what is meant to be there! I have half the bedroom done - it is demoralising and I was reading somewhere that a cluttered bedroom is partly why we have bad sleeping patterns so I thought enough of that!! It takes time but just keeping trying to do a little as often as you can you do slowly begin to see the difference - or you can do what mudbath is doing just and getting rid of the whole lot in one go - scary but very effective!!!
