  • Rightiho - time for me to go to bed me thinks. Especially as DS2 will be waking me in a few hours again. I watched my BF programme and enjoyed it, and it made me feel bad for thinking of stopping when it is for selfish reasons really (like wanting more sleep) so i will keep motivated for the time being.

Just checked the weather forecast and it is supposed to be sunny here tomorrow. So i have loaded the WM up with clothes/soap powder and conditioner ready for the morning. Bottles made up for tomorrow. Some soda crystals down the kitchen sink ready to pour boiling water down tomorrow, and i am about to put stuff down upstairs drains and bleach in the loo before hopping in bed. I was never going to go early as i don't like to when DH isn't home, feels weird.

    But i'm going now.

polka noticed you said earlier that you had used acetic acid on your loo. I don't know where you bought this from, but it is the scientific name for vinegar. Just thought i would mention it in case you are paying over the odds for something ;) Same as i am supposed to use citric acid to descale my steam steriliser, but i always use white vinegar, same with descaling the kettle. Thanks also to whoever suggested hot vinegar for cleaning the loo - i could boil in the kettle, and then pour down the loo - genius :money:

Night Night - hope you all have sweet dreams, and as the only scientist here (i think) - i am pretty sure the world won't end tomorrow either. They might end up burning up most of the area it is in, but i think we are far enough away.

take care ladies - see you tomorrow. x

Triker - seeing as you're house trained, you can come to mine... no kids, no pets, full wine rack, plenty of gin & vodka, and reasonably clean and tidy. Just bring the chickens :rotfl:

How did my kitchen table disappear under all that paper again??? It's taken me ages to clear it (into my new hotspot in the study  ), but I think I've managed to catch it in time, and the kitchen is back under control. Thanks Pigpen. Good luck tomorrow!

Michelle - I really like the saying in your signature . . .
"The thing that is really hard, and really amazing, is giving up on being perfect and beginning the work of becoming yourself."

I know I can deal with not being perfect . . . but it's the other people who expect me to be perfect - how do I get them to understand I'm just being myself??? And how can I get them to understand that it's ok not to be perfect??

    ***sigh***

I've just spent a lovely 2 hours on the family tree searching websites - I'll regret it in the morning.

    Hi everyone

First, a quick apology for going AWOL this evening. Hex I got so involved with my hhc that it lasted TWO hours (I think I posted my updated list-Ill have to check). But then I started going going through the thread to do a catch up post (Ive noticed stuff I wanted to comment on but not found time) when my blasted router went again. Then I was just getting it sorted and DS went all niggly again so I took him into the kitchen to start the cake.
So the lid is done-he had fun too. I gave him some sugarpaste of his own with a cookie cutter and a straw and let him stand on his step-up.
We were just finishing when DF came in.

He was quite impressed (as was I) as not only did I get my list done today, but I got the lid of the chocolate box finished and went over the kitchen aswell as picked up the lounge. Fair enough DF brought home take out:o

Sexymouse you were right about chrome:j :j I just downloaded it and its fantastic-Im going to have to try your smileys again:j

So Im going to do the cake as follows:
    Tonight: Did lid
Wednesday: Bow for top of lid
    Thursday: Shelf
Saturday: Bake cake and do sides and cover cake board

That way if there's anything needs extra help it can be done on Sunday.
Who's a good liitle flylady planner then?

Right, I will be off to check lists for tommorow (back to playgroup.
Denisefowler and Pink fairy I saw your pm's but havent sat down to read them-will do so now and promise to reply tommorow latest.

To everyoneelse Ive missed, I promise I will make time in the course of the week. Thank you for all your comments about the cake and getting it done-you know if it weren't for all of you I wouldn't be doing it in the first place:A
