Pigpen - good luck with the course, although sure you don't need it for the actual course, just the home/college juggling bit...

Triker - glad you got the car sorted in the end - good luck getting a new one soon

(works for me anyway...:rotfl: ) It's the rest of them that upset the balance...

Serena - hope everything went as well as could be expected yesterday - I'm sure you were a great help for your dad.

    Morning all

It looks promising weatherwise here today but I won't hold my breath!

Shan't be doing much flying here today as Dad, my sis and I are putting the final preps to Mum's birthday album. Got almost 200 pics to label, order and stick in  also need to find the pressies we have bought her, get them wrapped and cards written. Plus we want to be at school for the assembly at 10.30, she's retiring today. I thought the Head, who has been in post for 1 year, might have told her not to bother coming in for 3 days this term and finish at the end of July. But apparently 29 years service with probably no more than a weeks sick leave in all that time is not good enough! She wanted to get her money's worth!!

Anyway better get dressed and get the kids organised, hope you all have a good day.

  • Morning all!

Woken up with a lack-of-sleep hangover if anyone knows what I mean. Late nights are just catching up with me combined with the fact that kids get up between 7 and 7.30am, that's what happens when you get them to bed earlier. But it's a catch 22 as I want a bit of an evening. We started watching panorama last night which ended at 11.30 and then didn't hit the sack till gone midnight. We always have the intentions of getting an early night, but never manage to get to sleep before midnight. I'm not a morning person anyway and can't stop yawning, and my head feels like a sack of potatoes.
Right need breakfast, shower and then I should feel better. DS2 should be awake by then as he is asleep in our room. Am going to the baby clinic today to get him weighed at last, haven't had him weighed for 6 weeks, it's amazing how complacent you get with your second. With my first I used to get him weighed every 2 weeks religiously for the first year. That's at 2 pm, so in theory that gives me 4.5hours to get things done.
    Right heres my list

Monday Mucking out - Living Room, Hall and Stairs
    Level 3
Wipe and water plants Wiping every single leaf will be just too long as I have 6 very leafy plants
Put all your hotspots in one pile and work your way through it.. They are in piles - it's just working my way through it!

Extra Mission: Pick one or more of the following tasks –
    1. Filing.. find a pile and file it I have too many piles all in a carrier bag under my bed - Aaaghhhhhhhhhh! Can't bear to start it, it will take forever - it's about 2 years worth of paper (out of sight - out of mind syndrome)!
    2. Binbag dance.. Get a binbag.. fill it and bin it!!!
    3. HHI (did someone mention they needed one?
Tuesday Terrors - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level Two
    CLEAN THE OVEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Level Three
Check for cobwebs on way round
Check those washing machine filters and drawers for ickiness!! Tumble dryer, cooker hood and dishwasher filters need to be done too!! My cooker hood filter looks soooooooo manky, can't bear to take it apart - how do I clean it?

    Extra Mission : help yourself

    1. Muck out the fridge.. use up all thos ebits that are on the verge of getting themselves out of the fridge and biting you!
    2. Empty the medicine cabinet.. throw out everything manky/out of date (some medicines are actually poisonous after a certain length of time!!.. AB's being one of them!!) and restock.. all those coughs and snots that will be flying around, sore throats and wheezes... go on.. shoo...........
    3. 34 fling boogie..
    4. GO! Get yourself a treat for being wonderful!!
    5. Empty the kitchen bin.. wash it out.. and make it smell SWEET
Wednesday wishy-washy-wipe!- Master Bedroom & Landing
    Level 1
Check fire alarms are working.. :p
Clear a cluttered top in your room.. or spend at least 15 minutes doing it
Fling open the window and let in the freezing cold wetness.. even if just for half an hour
    Level 2
Remove and wash bed linen and duvet covers.
Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs..

    15 minutes floordrobe clearance
    Level 3
Vacuum floors in bedroom and on landing
Sort through a cupboard and fling everything that is dead
    Air the duvet
Extra tasks list, as usual choose one or more
    1. 31 fling boogie time, go on grab a bag and clear that clutter

Right off to make a start - breakfast first!
Housework only gets noticed when it's not done.
My fake plants died because I did not pretend to water them.
Can never keep up with the thread - otherwise I'll never get anything done! But hugs to All :grouphug:
