Feel free, plenty of flakes to share too! I will warn you now though that this is the only 'done' room, the rest of the house is in a 60/70s time warp with dry rot and wood worm problems. Classic case of obscene mortagge to buy dream property and then absolutely nothing left to fix it with. We did the snug and keep it clean so we have somewhere nice to escape to. No children allowed.
The snug; I love it!!! Child free and flakes too, heaven :AI love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by. Douglas Adams0 -

Mmmmm think I've just had one of those 'voice recorded lie detector' phone calls with the insurance company. I was asked very specific questions re me and the car!
No worries though as I obviously wasn't lying.
I presume that insurance companies are really being careful with claims - dare I say due to the economic climate there maybe a rise in claims - anyway they also asked if I would give permission to let them speak to the DVLA on a conference call. Basically DVLA asked me a few personal details and then the insurance company asked if my licence was clean and full, yes, said the DVLA.
Gawd they are thorough, they now want to speak to OH as he's a named driver.
Anyway they said the car is a write off so will arrange for a salvage company to pick it up.:j
Saves me a real headache to be honest. They did say that I had been given the wrong info re getting it towed to a garage.
So hopefully it'll get sorted asap. Then it's just a question of finding a cheap runaround for work. *sighs* I really liked that little car.
Yes it is a bit harsh when you are honest; I read in the paper that travel insurance claims are rocketing so probably the same thing is happening with car insurance to a certain extent; people sometimes can't resist the urge to 'add a bit on' to insurance claims.......
Hope you find something nice to get to work in; there do seem to be some bargains around if you get a decent payout.I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by. Douglas Adams0 -

Not doing well so far but had to show you this, I was being nosey at other rentals available and spotted this http://www.pattinson.co.uk/Public/content/Rent/Estate-Agents/Property-To-Let/9685.htm seriously you'd tidy up the work surfaces wouldn't you? Caught my eye as it's £100 a month cheaper but half the house I think aswell...
Right, must do some more work, ttfn..
What is wrong with it.January Grocery 11/3740 -
Well did quite well on the HHC although it did make me late for picking up DS and didn't realise how long I jad been doing it.
Clean and wipe work surface, clean the door , clean the small utensils. put washing in TD, folded clothes AND cleaned out the bin.
Hex2- I am sooo in love with that room. Looking at your avatar and that wonderful photo and it makes me think that really does look like a dream house-even though it may be alot of work and a lot of money. It is nice that at least you have one room to 'escape' to. No is it the fire or the no children rule that makes it the most desirable
Monday Mucking out - Living Room, Hall and Stairs
Pounce upon the piles of coats and shoes and fling the ones that are no longer worn/needed/fit/wearable
Wipe down any paintwork that needs it.
Binbag dance.. Get a binbag.. fill it and bin it!!!
Tuesday Terrors - Kitchen and Dining Room
Sweep and mop floors
Wipe all the windows in these areas!!
.. don't forget those kick boards..
Check those washing machine filters and drawers for ickiness!! Tumble dryer, cooker hood and dishwasher filters need to be done too!!
Extra Mission : help yourself
Muck out the fridge.. use up all thos ebits that are on the verge of getting themselves out of the fridge and biting you!
Empty the medicine cabinet.. throw out everything manky/out of date (some medicines are actually poisonous after a certain length of time!!.. AB's being one of them!!) and restock.. all those coughs and snots that will be flying around, sore throats and wheezes... go on.. shoo...........
34 fling boogie..
GO! Get yourself a treat for being wonderful!!January Grocery 11/3740 -
Right..... being massively pro-active.... I have to leave the house in about 15 mins. Does anyone want to join me in a 10 minute mini challenge to see how much can be achieved in just 10mins?????MMSSB Club Founder Member
