Got really excited about today as I knew it wouldn't take too much cleaning as hubby did it at w/end and meant I could get on with de-cluttering which is the main reason I'm following the flylady thread. Found all the missing micro-fibre cloths from yesterday:T and realised it was cos hubby had tidied up this area that they were all missing and plonked in the same place regardless of their purpose:rolleyes: currently in WM.
Medicine cabinet cleared out. There are a few items left from hubby being diagnosed with mouth cancer this summer that I *think* should be disposed of, but I will wait to check what the dr actually said about them first.
Cleared out all my kitchen and dining cupboards.
We are currently using a carrier bag as a kitchen bin -so hung a new one up:p
Haven't done the oven though.;)0 -
Hex.. my middle room is decorated EXACTLY the same.. except we have paper for our chimney breast... I have a corner sofa bed thing for mine though.. and black lace curtains for Hazel to climb up lol..toottifrootti wrote: »Pigpen - what have you done about your new course - what was the final decision?
Hope you enjoyed your class today once you got there - what are you making?
Ley's just say my dressmaking tutor was VERY shocked when I turned up and said .. 'I am making nighties for the 3 little girlies' .. they are desperately short of pjs as after DD3 has worn them they are that disgusting after being pee'd every wearing they are fit for nothing but floor cloths!!
The new course.. I shocked everyone.. including myself by actually going and emrolling.. I probably wouldn't have done if I hadn't HAD to go into town to collect some money from the bank.. but I have the induction day tomorrow and start on Monday.. Fear not though.. I shall only be gone 4 mornings and 2 evenings.. and I am not telling you which ones!! lolLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Sorry Sarahshattered- I posted without reading the thread, and by time I'd seen your post it was too late, not sure I could have joined in cos I was preparing lunch at that point, but will join in another time.0

Afternoon ladies, I'm struggling to keep up with the thread at present so hugs if you need them.
AnW'sMum and Johanne - I never had any idea just how emotionally draining having kids would be - hugs to you both.
Decided to stay at home rather than go shopping.
I've started doing some of the financial stuff I need to.
Sorted out all the garden toys bar the paddling pool
Potted up, watered and covered my forcing bulbs
Going to sort the last family room cupboard out now. I'm in a sort not cleaning mood! The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Afternoon
Hex the room looks lovely, very cosy
Lil_me urgh! that house is rank....are you considering it?
Well! I'm sitting here in my jama bottoms and my big fluffy (winter) dressing gown, I'll tell you the story.........
MOT day today, took the car down, OH dropping me off at work then supposedly picking me back up again only he tells me he forgot he had an appointment today so couldn't pick me up. THEN he proceeds to tell me that he's got his bike in the back of the van and I'll have to peddle home!  it's too far away to walk and peddling would be quicker.....well YES if you're not 15 stone, dressed in work slippers with a heavy bag to place on the handle and it hasn't been 13 years since you've been on a bike!
SO, does 2.5 hrs cleaning, locks up then proceeds to get on the bike, which is for a man I hasten to add............I wobbled up the street and what happens it pi**es down.....I had to walk some the way cause it was embarassing wobbling along the road and many vans etc drove past -bet they had a giggle....well who wouldn't 15 stone 41 year old shopping bag hanging off....trousers tucked in one slipper, soaking wet -
So, I'm currently soaked to the skin, I had to peel my wet clothes off me literally, dry myself off and I've just made a brew.....never again!
He's just phoned me and we've had a right giggle about it, the tears are streaming down my face:rotfl:
Will do some list soon....0 -
