  • Hi all, thanks for all good wishes for my dad - he's coping brilliantly and managing pretty much everything for himself! And he didn't react to the anaesthetic at all (unlike me!!)

So, I am back home now and trying to get the house sorted! I have one load of washing on the line and one in the machine. Off to do the shopping now, but will be back for a HHC or 2 this afternoon if anyone's sad enough to join me on a Sunday!

    Morning All

I've been attempting to sort out DD's bedroom this morning so I'm hoping another half hour will finish it.

    Anyone want to join me in a HHC - 11 - 11.30?

  • Morning to all those who rose early (unlike me)

Sarah – good luck to your DD

Toots – I’m reading time management for manic mums at the moment – you’re supposed to be able to turn things round in 7 weeks, 1 step per week. The first step is to think about time like gold dust, its precious, we cant buy it, get any more of it etc so have to make the most of it. The second is to work out where your time leaks and that’s what I’m working on at the moment ! I do like soappies idea of 30 min slots. My bedroom is one of the 2 bins in our house and too overwhelming to do in 1 go, so yesterday I went in with a timer and 30 mins later came out with 2 bin bags of recycling and one of rubbish. Room looks a bit better and I didn’t feel bogged down and happily moved on to something else without needing a sit down and a cuppa to get over it. I love the smilies too but like you say they take time and become EXPENSIVE but I do love to read your fun posts

Michelle – you have done really well, don’t overdo it tho

MSD – glad its not just me and cookery books

Valli – You poor thing I’d be tearing my hair out with no hot water, fingers crossed for tomorrow

Nicki – good luck with the studying

Lilme – glad you feeling better

Pollybear – I was listening to the weather (half asleep) last night and thought they said it would be fine until about Thursday with maybe only an odd shower

Right just finished my brekkie and cuppa and still sat here in dressing gown, Blue skies and fluffy white clouds at the moment (or as my DD said it’s a LUSH sky, she knows all their stuff ). OH has gone to bed and DD is terrorising the dog somewhere.

Plan for today (its Sunday so not going to overdo it as need to chill!)
    Hang washing out on line
Feed WM (and TD if reqd)
Shower or soak in the bath
    General tidy downstairs
    Meal plan
    Roast lamb for lunch/tea
    Baking perhaps
    Uniforms
Update finances as not done yesterday
    Phone about sons EMA

No paper. This is, however a good thing because I failed in my flychallenge! So I haven't got the time to spare to read it - yet! It's the only day I have a national although I also take our local - once a week fortunately! I have stuff to do today - but I have a nice list set out in bite sized chunks and I am trying to be serene and methodical - then I don't get stressed. I will achieve it next week - or try! (Free Sundays for any of you that missed my post) and in all honesty girls I don't think having the gas problems helped. Just cleared a mini hotspot and found a credit card statement I would have forgotten to attend to - in good time. So I have been online and made a payment! Hope you all get to see some sun - none here but the barometer has whizzed round to fair!

    Morning everyone.

Had a lie in this morning and the only thing Ive done is have my breakfast and put some washing in.

No doubt will be getting a phone call from DD crying when GS1s dog goes. She has been looking after it for him.

Once Ive wrote this Im going to be pulling the cooker out and cleaning behind it. Been on my mind all week.

Toots Im having the same problem. I spend too much time on the internet. So I think time boxing as Soappie suggests a good thing. Realised the past couple of days that Im neglecting my Reiki and other stuff.

Pink Fairy Hope your DD feels better soon.

lil_me Hope you feel better soon. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Valli Hope you have your newspaper and relaxing. Will keep my fingers crossed for you getting your boiler fixed tomorrow.

Froddington. Sounds like your dad is recovering really well.

    Clean behind cooker.

Toots. Have sent you a pm.
  • Here's what I have left for the week
    Friday Flyday- bedroom again
Sort through a cupboard/chest of drawers and get the clothes out which are no longer wearable, too small or out of season!
    Extra Task List
open a drawer you haven't actually looked in for weeks and deal with whatever treasures you find within!
Wipe the radiators, skirtings and window & door frames!
    Squeakend List
    1. Clean a room to level 3.. preferably one that isn't already pristine!
    2. tidy a hotspot
    3. empty a drawer and deal with its contents accordingly
    4. Meal plan for the week having a go this week
    5. Start preparing the house for winter.. thicker curtains/warmer duvets/throws/draught excluders etc need thick door curtains -working on it
thats my list plus must do ebay - need nagged please - frequently and often!!! Think I need to put it on my daily list for a while as there is so much to clear and the money would be VERY useful towards the debts!!

just bringing this forward so I can see whats still to do - not too much- I am well chuffed this week!!

    toots xx
