A little cayenne or some dried chilli flakes will make it spicy. Add a little ground cumin for savoryness.0 -
I use cheap pasta, scronky (floppy) fridge veg fried off and value bacon or tuna. Mix with copped toms and a can of cheap tom soup. Creme fresh if feeling flush. Half a small pot does. Grated cheese and grill. mmmm0

Ok, well I'm useless at a lot of things, but I've lost the recipe I was going to use for dinner tonight - it's only pasta bake but I need a recipe, lol.
I bought a mozzarella ball especially for it as it mentioned topping it with cubes which then melt in.
I've got tuna, sweetcorn (frozen & canned), penne, courgette (don't think it was in the original recipe!), onion, passata, chopped toms & various other bits & pieces including this mozzarella - can anyone help me please!! (Oh & it needs to be slimming world friendly but I'll worry about that from your suggestions!)0 -
This is what I would do:
Cook the pasta. While that's cooking, chop the onion and fry until translucent. Add passatta, tuna and some sweetcorn.
When the pasta is cooked, drain it and add to the passatta. Bung in an oven dish and break the mozzarella into chunks and sprinkle over the pasta.
Chuck in the oven for 15-20 mins.0 -
Brilliant, thank you!0

grate the courgette and fling it in when you put it in the oven dish. I'd leave out the onion and use peas instead of sweetcorn too because I don't like it.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

Lol, thanks pigpen. I did what Giger suggested but added the courgette just before putting it in the oven. Delicious, thank you!0

I've merged this with our pasta bake thread
If you're an online member, look up the courgette pasta bake recipe - it's made with cottage cheese - my dinner tonightI could have swore I posted it in the SW thread a long time ago, but a quick search isn't helping me find it....
