Did the pasta bake (white sauce) last weekend - kids enjoyed it but it was fairly bland...needed something else to give it a bit of flavour!! My DS2 is really fussy, but might try a tomato based one next time!

Thanks for all the advice everyone!!:T

Should it be condensed soup? Do you have to precook the pasta?

yes i pre cook pasta until its slightly under done - i use the condensed cos i like it but do water it down a bit - i guess you could use other kinds of soup you may need to add a little flour to thicken??

Heres one for ham and mushroom and one for chicken and broccoli.

If you're using soup I would say definitely use condensed! And part cook the pasta.

    HTH:)

Easy peasy. No need to cook pasta, just throw in. It goes like this:
Half cup of pasta per person
any leftover veg from fridge, cooked or uncooked.(broccoli and cauli go at bit mushy if already cooked)
Pre-cooked chicken( just poach in a little water for 10 mins or so),ham, turkey or whatever, about 1 cup, but could be more.
I can soup- mix soup with double the can size of water in a jug and pou on. If it's bachelors condensed soup, it's 3 cans of water.
Mix it all together in a shallow dish
In oven for 1 hour, adding a handful of grated cheese 15 mins from the end.
    Serve.enjoy.

I make one with chilli, garlic, yellow pepper and chorizo - mixed with cooked pasta and a tin of tomatoes, topped with cheese and cooked for 20 mins.

I don't buy soup either, I just make a white sauce and add whatever I fancy - cheese, mushrooms or whatever.
