Great post Bunn, I keep getting within 30 pages, and then stopping to chat/discuss things for a few days, so slip back.

Its how I want to comp, I like to start at the back and work forward. Then eventually I will just have to have todays threads showing to know what new comps have been posted,

It doesn't bother me I miss some that finish while I work gradually forward, and I only enter things that I would love to win not every comp.

Forget doing the past, you'll just keep chasing your rrrr's.

There are two things you can do, easily.

1) Each day do the comps ending the next day, as detailed in the guide.
2) Do that days comps, sort into thread start date order, descending, for the last day. Work through until done.

You don't have to do both, one or the other will catch all in time.

That's kind of what I did, the beginning of August (knowing I was going away for a week too) I decided that I was stressing too much over "getting the ending thread done" so I drew a line under how I had been comping on, I think it was the 3rd of August, from that day I started doing all the comps regardless of ending date as they were posted, making a quick note where I had finished in one session so I knew where to start the next time, took no time at all, then I sorted (slightly differently to the advice given now, I click on "thread" at the top of the page and it sorts it ascending automatically) and did a few days at a time if I had time. I'm not one for entering everything willy nilly, I only enter what I would like and couldn't afford or what would be a great xmas/birthday pressie for so-and-so... I now after just a few weeks am completely "up to date" in so much as, I do the daily posted pages and I check those ending in 2 days time ie today I checked the 13th, most of which were done because of the former action. I also now have time to do the daily, weekly and monthly comps and keep up to date with the discussion, compers inn and I won threads, try and find a few comps to post (unsuccessfully cos I know how to search and they're always already here lol) and report a few dupes, and EVEN still have a life! It's easy peasy, especially now we have the date format almost under control (thanks bg's) most of all I am enjoying my comping!

I cant seem to see smiley faces and jumping people any more!! Can anyone else not see theirs? Maybe ive changed my settings or something?

Have you looked in your User CP? Has anything changed?

Mines the same. It started working again and then stopped!

Glad its not just me!! I probably wouldnt have noticed but I knew for a fact I had put some on a post I wrote yesterday. Checked my user cp and show imgages was checked so its probably not that.

Mine were definately working yesterday. I dont really mess with any of the virus stuff cos I dont have a clue what im doing! Will ask dp if he did anything to the security last night.

I tried adding a smiley into my sig and it just kept disappearing - I don't think I can do any smileys at the moment
