do you mean ones that air on tv today or finish today? think most of the tv ones this week are across the whole week, so started on monday and run the whole week rather than being a few different comps

I for one think its a great shame that the Comp Ending threads have been ended. They were a great way for newcomers to start entering competitions, rather than wading through over 200 pages of different types of competitions with differing end dates and for different types of prizes, a process which could seem rather overbearing to many faced with it for the first time.
i'm sorry if they can wade through mse they can wade through compettions forum

The ending threads only started springtimeish this year, so anyone that started prior to that had to do it the normal old fashioned way, page by page.

I still feel and think that some of the posts asking to bring them back, realy show that the ending threads encouraged a lazy comping way. And tbh, its pretty easy via MSE anyhow with a link and the answers given.

(I started Jan 2008, then stopped in May and started again last week of August.)
My light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly :)

    1. In order to enter competitions, newcomers do not need to enter 'page by page'. Searching for competitions is EASIER than anyone who have not tried may imagine. Even if the Comps ending is back, I personally don't think that I will be using it anymore. I love having control over my time, and entering a week-worth of competitions if I have free time or entering none if I am at work or busy.

    2. I don't think that anyone is entitled to call others 'lazy', you have to acknowledge that some people are confused and this is totally different.

    3. Those who have been on these Boards longer are not necesarily more experienced than newcomers. The fact that they know how to search for posts does not necessarily mean they know how to make this forum a welcoming community. And Zebra has made great points above. I mean those who do not like newcomers asking can simply ignore such posts and move on, and please remember that these forums are open to all.
    Copying MSE Andrea:

    "Hi everyone

Just a reminder that however many times a question may be asked, please remember to answer nicely, even if it is the millionth time :)

It's easy enough just to say politely "there's a thread answering your question here.." and linking to the relevant thread.

    Thanks for your help"
