I am glad that you find searching/displaying threads easier, its great now.

I was just making an observation and discussing ending threads in general, which is what this thread is for. I didn't name anyone as being lazy, just said what my opinion was of what kind of behaviour I felt the threads had encouraged.

Whereas the new display system gives control back to each individual comper, as long as they are willing to take the time to learn, and often people find out how to do it by reading the stickies or back through this thread.

I would love to know people could be informed better, as this subject pops up every day and there is a stickie plus the comping guide as well. I actually only come to MSE for the comps forum normally as I find it very friendly here in here, compared to some of the flamings I endured in the big MSE world.

You don't need to worry about making others informed, and in all honesty, they won't be better informed when they feel unable to ask questions. All I am saying is, if it bothers you to answer the same question again and again, you can simply overlook those posts.

I didn't actually post to answer a question earlier, just to give a viewpoint.

It doesn't bother me much, if I a see a query first then I just post the link or quote a post. Its been asked so many times, I even have a few good info posts saved to word to copy and paste now.

But it is annoying when it gets asked repeatly and the question was asked and answered already just a few posts earlier.

i personally are glad the comps ending is not in place at the moment, i have been trying to get from the end to the 1st comp lol, it all takes time and im glad i have learnt how to do it, i gradualy creep to page 119 then the weekend comes and then go back to god knows what page , i have a wednesday to catch up, and i try and do the co mps ending by doing the search, most have already been done, thanks so much, for all the advise, everyone has given, and gl to those who have helped, i dont often get to the i won section, as i dont have time but congrats all who have, i hope this makes sense my spelliing and puncuation aint that good!!!

Bunn im trying to do exactly the same thing! I get to about 127 and then it all goes to pot when I dont spend as much time on the weekends.

How long has it taken everyone who is up to date with comps to get there?

Also I would like to say, I dont feel as though I can comment on much of what is said in here about the dos and donts of posting because I have not been here long enough. I would like to say however that I have found everyone to be very helpful to me.

i know for a fact i am nearly 6 weeks behind (must be nearly 200 pages away

Okay well I start back at uni two weeks today so I am going to make it my challenge to be up to date by then. Just checked and im on page 130! Gonna have a very sore finger!!
