    Morning all

Fortuantly i have most presents bought, only got the chocs/wine type gifts left to get (and something else for DH). Got a few bits and pieces to make.

Just aswell really as we've decided we're going to decorate the kids bedrooms before christmas! Putting the boys in togther, mooving my daughter and thereby freeing up the box room for DH to have a study again......
    Slightly worn out mum to 3 (DS1 May 03, DS2 Feb 05, DD1 Feb 08). When i grow up i think i'll become a UN Peace keeper....

    Hi everyone:hello:
I usually go mad and spend a fortune on everyone at xmas, however due to several factors, eg lack of supply work, my Dad being terminally ill and it's probably his last xmas, this year I don't feel the need to spend a lot on material things:o
I am limiting my gift buying to My Mum, Dad, Niece,Nephew and 4 good friends.I have previously bought for my Brother and his gf and have never recieved a gift back, or much thanks, so have told them i'm just buying for the kids now;)
My DD is pregnant and living with me at the mo, but is getting a flat, so I will do her usual stoking and a biggish prezzie, nd get bits for the baby.
Not sure what to get for everyone else yet, but will come on here for ideas.Just need some work now:rolleyes:

Thanks Dani85 did your parents christen you that? :D

Melon78 I would love to clear up some space and gain a study! Think of all the christmas things you can do in there in peace! Hope it all goes to plan x

candygirl I am so sad to hear about your dad. I can't even imagine what kind of heartache you must be going through every day and how this must weigh on your mind over christmas. I hope that the thought of getting a grandchild brings you some happiness to ease the pain and everything goes well x If you ever need someone to talk to I am a good listener x I know what you mean about brothers.. dont even get me started on mine.. Think I might follow your plan ;)

Hi Candygirl I am so sorry to hear about your dad, I lost my grandad last year after a long battle and it still hurts now so I know what you are going through. My thoughts are with you and your family. But like Mel said you have a little grandchild to look forward to and I am sure that they will adore you.

For all the christmas nutterson the thread that are living in sunny manchester (for once it isnt raining), they have started to put up the christmas decorations up ready for the big switch on in November. They have the christmas trees on the lamp posts down oxford road heading towards Peter Street. Ooooo it's getting so close xxxxx

sorry to hear that candygirl, - it will be a strange christmas for me too, my mam(and my best friend) died in february from cancer and we will be lost without her. I am even more determined to make this christmas the best yet for my daughter and family though. There is nothing better than christmas for building family traditions and being together as a family - lots of good memories of her will be with us during the tough times though which I'm sure there will be. Thinking of you candygirl at this time - stay strong and positive, keep good friends and family close.
