I need ideas.... seven year old boy, into science, can't afford more than a fiver. (me that is, not him!) Anyone seen any good pressies falling into that category? There's a nice dig-your-own dinosaur kit on Boots.com but I need it soon and don't want to pay postage. Not sure any Boots near me will have it in stock

  • Hello everyone :rudolf: Read this thread so often I thought I should officially join :) I want to declutter/tidy everyroom in the house before next week!
18 yr old DD has started to have a good tidy, and managed to get 14 yr old DS to hoover!! Just to add, house isn't like one of those on 'how clean is your house' we just have so much stuff having 2 teenagers and a 20 year old, an OH who works nights and a mad Jack Russell!! I work all week except Fridays now...bliss. So I need motivation!
Today I am going to try...no, I mean, today I am going to get rid of the bookcase and find new homes for it's contents, because that's where the tree is going, next Sunday.

Man I have got so much to do and that is before I even make a start on these half drunk cups of coke and plates that once had bacon sandwiches on them left lurking about my pc.. OOPS!

Logan is so poorly. I was sitting here last night thinking.. wow.. it's thanksgiving day, I am going to make something really nice for tea. Then Logan puked all over the sofa, carpet and a long trail to the toilet (this is what happens when you leave him with his dad) so I spent my cooking time on my hands and knees scrubbing. Ah well..

mum2one that is absolutely fabulous news about your neighbour. I am so sorry that you had to go through it alone. We had a guy live next door to us who played REALLY loud music till 3am and I had a newborn. It was such a sad, stressful time for me and you can't know how it destroys your life until you are in the situation. I got my windows put through but hey.. the glass was fixed and he was kicked out. Anytime you need someone I am here for you. We are friends and I am so glad we have helped you in any way because you bring a lot to this thread and you deserve happiness for the kind of lady you seem to be x Here's to a new life, right? Best christmas EVER :)

You lot are absolutely crazy. I have read every single one of your posts (as proven with a thanks) and I can't believe how much you have got done.

Jammy, the tree is gorgeous in the dark I just love how ambient it feels with all of those bows and gold.. LOVERLY!!!

Been on cakewrecks all day.. who's fault is that??

not only am i unlikely to get half my order til AFTER xmas now
But the half that they have sent out to me is wrong

Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together

I have seen SO many bad reviews about M&S online phunkles. You really made me laugh though.. if you do tell them to "F OFF" can you record it for me :D

Phone them.. and remember this.. Decide what it is you want then keep asking for the next person higher up until you get someone who gives you a satisfactory answer. Don't be afraid to get some compensation! What about the long trips to the post office to return the items.. the queues.. why should you have the inconvenience? etc etc

    GL

Oh and welcome Dizzy Lizzie:D:D so glad you finally came out of hiding haha!
