Hi - i know this is very silly but i've only read the last 5/6 posts on here. When I saw Emily quoting Mum2one I assumed it was a second baby - reading what followed made me laugh!......

They're currently doing some maintenance work on it so we'll be able to view it next week. But the guy that lives next door said it's in good condition inside
    Just £10,852.28p to go...

    :D

    Trust that little voice in your head that says "Wouldn't it be interesting if...";
    And then do it.

    Xmas Saver!
I started the mass tidy up this morning in an attempt to get organised before the great wrapping.

    This is what I achieved:
Box 1 - £1.00 items for xmas prezzies (incase dd gets any xmas presents from friends at school)
Box 2 - spare girls gifts - not used this yr be carried forward to next yr
Box 3 - Boys presenst (again incase of prezzies from school - got 6 things)
Box 4 - Food ready for little gift sets, - 2 eldery neighbours, best mate, aunt+uncle
    Box 5 - Allocated presents

These are now under the dining room table and half across the floor, but it now means I can get out of bed both sides, and without having to do the ballet steps, (not pretty sight as not size 10!) to the loo in middle ngt.

    Next -
Sort out the shed, as theres 3 big boxes prezzies - all loose waiting to be sorted.

    Then -
Get boxes out of loft ( 5 boxes )

Aim to get all prezzies wrapped by next wed, as after that Im all over the place.

Big Purple Argos bag - dds odds, sods and a few of our things in there

EMminently - thats hilarious! There was a post like that on the Xfactor thread. The woman was talking about 'covering it up with just a towel as it went outside' which I thought was about Daniel from the X factor (gross thought).. turns out it was her cat she was rehousing but it didnt read like that at all!! :D

RoxieW - I know what you mean. A big list is helpful. I've liked mine as when I have a few mins I come on, read it and think "aha, I'll do that now" very good. We can do it, we have loadsa time!

    Good luck mum2one! :D

Today I decided to scrap Snowmen soup
And instead bought some gorgeous boxes from Card Warehouse
£1.49 on 3 4 2 but self assemble but the box is gorgeous with a big silver snowflake on the top and a real quality card :) 8x8 in size
So instead im filling a box with choc bars for my friend and her hub - looks a bit more fancy than a selection box anyway :)

Ive not got much left to do now :s

I like your idea! Sounds lovely!!! :D

Hehe Jamtart Im claiming it as a small hamper attempt
Im actually in love with the box wish I'd picked up more now 'cause I know they'll come in handy - might have to pop to town again to get some more :)
Might take a pic of the box 'cause it definately looks more expensive than £1 :)
and they had them in a variety of sizes

I dont wanna be so organised :(
Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together

  • Morning All

Well I spent most of the morning out shopping yesterday, is it me or is it getting busy out there now? Everyone must have just started to think "Oh we better get xmas shopping" I couldn't move in some shops, only went out to get a few bits.

Managed to get OH to go up in the loft and get down the Xmas decs yesterday afternoon, so we spent the evening going through them, had to throw a few broken things away, and managed to make a shopping lost of what I need, so will be getting that today.

    As for my list

    Jobs for this week:

    1. Finish all little bits in Kids room
    2. Write Xmas cards with kids for school & Beavers
    3. Make Xmas Pressies with DS1 for Beavers
    4. Make teachers Pressies with DS1 & 2
    5. Make Xmas Pressies for Kids in school off DS 1 & 2
    6. 2 more tube fact jars
    7. Buy frames and frame the name a star certificates
[strike]8. Buy frame and frame funny tube map for OH Mad friend[/strike]
[strike]9. Post 3 Parcels[/strike] posted 2, need to split one as it would have cost £38.90 to send
    10. Go shopping for bits I need for craft day on sunday
    [strike]11. PTA Meeting Today 9am[/strike]
[strike]12. Get rest of christmas Decorations out and start putting up so I can see what I need to buy/ make[/strike]
    13. Wrap presents up that I picked up at my mums on saturday
    14. Finish all printing jobs
    15. Give Bathroom the once over
    16. Give Master Bedroom the once over
    17. Give Frontroom the once over
    18. Give Kitchen the once over
    19. Make Photo Cards (I didn't get new pic's yesterday, as the snow didn't last  )

    So need to add:

    20. Shopping for new Christmassy bits
    21. Help at school on wednesday, sorting out for Xmas Fair.

Right on I go... I really better get cracking but I think a cup of coffee first. Hope everyone has a nice day.

    Take Care

  • Morning everyone!

Well, I had a sense yesterday that it was all coming together nicely - I feel like all the jobs are almost done! Of course, it's a load of nonsense and I've still got loads to do but I just felt really good about what I had already done and wondering (yet again) how other people who leave it to the last minute do it!

I bought 'Miracle On 34th Street' on video (the newer version) and watched that on Sunday and I think that put me in a very good mood.

Saw the Christmas lights in our nearest town as well - they're lovely! And one little light was accidentally on in our village last night even though they don't get switched on until 4th December! My DD1 and I thought it was very funny!

    Have a great day!

    Love
