  • Morning everyone! Wrap up warm - the snow is coming!

Off today to OH granny's 80th birthday lunch - should be a bit tense - his family get togethers always are!

    My list for the weekend:-

    1. Wrap final presents and make sure labels are on all the rest.
    2. DD1 and DD2 have written their Santa letters so look online to buy what they asked for - DD1 wants Bratz Magic Hair colour and a DS game and DD2 wants something to do with the Little Einsteins!
    3. Finish Hama bead decorations - got about 4 to do.
    4. Finish letters to go in Christmas cards - again got about 4 to do
    5. Get Christmas decorations out of cupboard.

I'm starting to get really excited - December is nearly here! The Christmas lights get switched on in the town nearest to us today and I'm hoping we'll be coming back from our meal just in time to see them getting switched on!

    Have a good day!

    Love Gill

Hmm that is strange!? My Tesco hasnt tracked yet  Any rough ideas where you might be spending on the card before xmas? just wondering if there is any chnace we might get a line!!:rotfl:

A day of work and crafts and christmas for me today :D:T

Thinking of doing an 8x8 scrapbook page for my Mum, but doing a page per 'event' i.e. builing it up, one page for Christmas, one page for birthday one page for mothers day etc. and 8x8 is do-able and I've never tried one before so could be quite exciting! However, I've done mum and dad a scrapbook for their anniversary a few years ago, and also dont know if dad would feel left out if I did a book for Mum and not him (i actually dont think he'd want the book, but might just feel a bit left out???) what do you think??

We have got some snow, I thought it was going to lie, but its just gathering in the cornes, and the door step is like a sheet of ice.

Sarah if all else fails you could always take the kids on the small  trip up to Aviemore if we've got slight snow they'll have bucket loads :rotfl:

    My plans for today are:
    1. To wrap what's lying around waiting and,
    2. To address the cards
Loving everyone's December Diaries. After I posted mine yesterday I emailed my DH a copy saying OMG have you seen our list, his reply was "stop moaning - you know you love it", and he's right, at least this year I am more organised!

Also Loving trying to hide my smugness when friends and relatives are complaining that they haven't even thought about xmas yet, and the look of dread that comes over their face when they say it, makes me feel sorry for them cause that was me last year but feel great for me (a bit evil eh!). Thank goodness for this thread!:T
  • Hey Kalojac.. We only have such long lists because we are Uber-organising! We don't have to do all of these things but we want to be totally smug for christmas don't we :)

Tartster.. I have no idea where I will shop LOL. This is going to sound really bad but I kind of see what hot deals are on and end up shopping there.. :s Why don't you give your mom a scrapbook and your dad a pot of gold then it looks like you have done them something handmade each as a little bonus :)

No I know what you mean about the shopping, I'm a bit like that but I know there are a few places I will be shopping! Its a bit of fun isn't it!

Good idea for the mamas and the papas! I've got a cute 8x8 layout in my head already so I'm going for it :D
