I do like to treat people as I would like to be treated so it winds me up when someone as a pop at me for having a opinion.
In some way house prices does effect me as I do have one, but i am also just intrested in some peoples views.
But people loosing houses and becoming unemployed does bother me as i do work and as people rightly say the economy as been to close to houses for a long time.
TBH, I have come to the conclusion that justpurchased cannot be any other poster as I do not recall any other poster with such truly atrocious spelling. Not in any way relevant to the points raised, but it is starting to make my head ache. The lose/loose thing is quite common, I know, but the range of others is getting strangely irritating.
For the record, justpurchased, when you do a typo, the computer puts a little red line under mistakes. Do you think you could just check for these before you post? Please?
Thank you. Ouch.0 -
Why all the vitriol guys?

All JP is trying to do is explain his thinkinng out loud. He doesn't have to prove anything, he's merely showing the workings of his thinking for the benifit of those who think he's got it wrong.
Personally I don't believe there is any right/wrong, buy/don't buy. It's what works for the individual and this seems to work for him so fair play.
I think it's sad when the board gets dragged down to this level, I really do.

.
Mine does'nt.
I do have a Google Toolbar though that allows me to run a spell check. But even that won't highlight incorrect (but correctly spelt) words like lose/loose.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. :T
I wish I was you.
That is what you want people to think, isn't it.
Sorry about the spelling, will copy and paste to word before posting again. (there is also a reason for it if you look in other posts)
No I don't why would I, some of you are sitting on good deposits and waiting to buy in the future (possibly for a lot less than me!) and i wish you luck.0 -
I should add that I've only got the Googlebar at home, not at work. Just spotted two typos in my last but one post, d'oh! :rotfl:Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

Mine is worse.
The computer does no such thing for me (not that it would help if it did).
I used to be a spelling and grammar nut too..:o and get frustrated with poverty of vocabulary, but my difficulties have made me vastly more understanding of others.0 -

Cheers  . That is exactly what I am doing. I would have rather never feeling I had to do that in the first place.0 -
Apologies - assumed everyone got the red line thing. Helps a lot - I do loads of typos (am a lousy one-fingered typist) but this helps me correct them before subjecting the rest of the world to them.

Would county wide sound correct? The OH was in when they surveyed.
Perhaps it came out higher as it is not on the published land reg figures yet.
.
Countrywide is a national firm, and I'd be interested to know the branch, please, when you get the information. If the property is not on the land reg yet that may explain his figures, but it seems odd of him not to have enquired what your transaction went through at. Perhaps he had an off day.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
I'm sorry, but this thread is nth more than gloating by someone who may or may not have bought a home for a 'good price'.
Well done for securing a home for your family, I mean that. Be honest though, the only reason you're here is try and justify your purchase - nothing wrong with that, it's a lot of money. But the fact that the majority of members disagree with your point of view leaves you threatening to leave with a sob stories about how horrible ppl are.Hello.0
