That's all well and good (and I'm not knocking you or her by the way ), but I think the answer to your problem lies in point 5 of your opening post

Can't you explain how important it is to get on the property ladder? And how much more of you she'll see if you work less than 60 hours a week? And that no-one needs to spend 100's on cosmetics per month?
