It is about now that I really do think that you need to take a long hard look at your combat johnny diatribe and realise that you are responding to comments that were never made.

The trouble very often with civilians is they have no idea how the world really works, and the consequenses of seemingly unimportant trivial predjudice/ discrimination. If you had been to Northern Ireland, Kosovo, Bosnia, Sierra Leone, Iraq, Afghanistan, DR Congo, Rwanda, Uganda, Chad, as I have you may understand the importance of defending simple freedoms that are largely taken for granted.

Once you let these freedoms become diluted its a slippery slope.

One day you may experience such predjudice I just hope it isnt too late by then.

Yes but he isnt a young scally lad is he. He is a serving member of the British Army who deserves respect.

And thanks for your concern I have been treated for PTSD and am feeling much better these days.

Its about a principle its not really such a big deal to have to sleep in your car, he is a soldier im sure he has spent many uncomfortable nights in places you wouldnt dream of being in, but the point is the prejudice. Do you Get it? probably not.

Maybe he has had bad experiences in the past. There are cases where military personnel returning from Iraq or Afghanistan have behaved in a brutal manner towards their family and members of the public. Probably not their fault after possibly being trained to be brutal against their occupiers.
