And I shall be as persistent as I like, despite your attempts to prevent the message getting across. .
The Message carol is what you belive he does not have to agree with you.
i think a lot of things of things are OT to make you feel better about your own opinion/situation. HPC suits you and prices are coming down can you not be happy with that!0 -

Sorry - due to your poor spelling/punctuation I have to admit that I am less than clear what your point is. Of course I'm happy that prices are coming down.0 -
I don't argue.

It's a good position. Can't be bothered with it meself.Don't care too much if everyone likes me.
Thought you'd gone while I was on holiday. Glad you're still around. Life a duller place etc.0 -
No you didn't. Here's what you actually said, boyse7en - post number 70. If what you meant to say was that it was hard then but is much harder now, I'd still disagree. It was easy then and it's hard now.
But it wasn't what you actually said. Your original post stated it was always equally hard. Which is nonsense. Hence my post.
No, you're putting words into my mouth (or letters onto my typing, whatever the internet version is)
"It has always been difficult to afford to buy a house, whether it was in the 70s, 80s, 90s or 00s" is not the same as saying "it was always equally hard".
You're experience of the 1990s in London is obviously very different from mine in Devon at the same time period. it certainly wasn't easy buying a house then (for me)0 -

I know what is wrong with me. It’s a shame we don’t know what is wrong with you!
PS if you have any problems reading the above ask a grown up to help;)0 -

"for the price of an average house in Kensington, the country's wealthiest housing area, 10 years ago, you could have bought two houses in Leven, Fife, the country's poorest. Today, you could buy 24"
John Henley in the Guardian
So if you were to compare buying a house now and in the 90s it would depend which part of the country you were talking about.0
