Good luck all those who have had reasonable arguments with;) .
Hope you can get the houses you want (hopefully at no ones expense).
But for all the misery, doom and gloom school bullies. Keep wearing the foil helmets and watching the matrix, I am sure there is some one else who is less happy and as angry as you somewere (if possible). Keep moaning. You know who you are.

But when people just want to make people belive things are worse than they are and everyone should suffer (raising intrest rates will criple the economy) I just can't see the point, there are some hardcore whingers who just pick and pick untill you blow up.

unlike the call centre that called me to buy a phone and I politely wound him up until he swore at me, then I put the phone down on him and laughed myself silly..:rotfl:Don't try to teach a pig to sing - it wastes your time and annoys the pig0 -

Oh come justpurchased, dont go, its all good fun, its a gloomy time for people trying to sell and its only been a few months, its happy days for buyers who have had the "property ladder" pulled up on them for the last 6 years, let us gloat and be happy for a little while hey:rotfl:, I mean if Gordon gets his way we will ALL be fooked shortly.:D0 -
I didnt really have to say that much Pickles..
he phoned me on my daughters birthday while the party was winding down, I had a few minutes spare and was in a good mood so thought I'd let him tire himself out.
He went on to say how he could offer me this phone for a very reasonable contract etc etc. and I just kept saying OK when he paused so he would waffle on about all the little details of the contract and phone which must have gone on for about 5 minutes.
Finally when he was about to wind it up I told him I get free motorola upgrades through work and a free phone / useage (a lie)
He said that was OK as this offer would be available to my partner and family members too..
I again fibbed and said my current deal with work already extended to my family because they look after their own.
"SO WHAT DA ******* HELL HAVE YOU BEEN TALKING TO ME ALL THIS TIME FOR ? ? ?"
"I havent said that much really mate 0 you've been the one jabbering away"
"SO WHY DIDNT YOU ******* HANG UP ? ?"
so I did.. and laughed me head off .Don't try to teach a pig to sing - it wastes your time and annoys the pig0 -
With a forum name like justpurchased i can understand the concern.
However for the most important participant to the housing market - the FTBer, these are very important times and for me personally 'doom & gloom' is the complete opposite - the housing market rising and also phrases such as 'something must be done' on a daily basis.0 -

I have to disagree with you strongly. Many individuals, groups and media have been constantly been playing down what is happening. Just look at all the huge drops in banks and loses this quarter. These loses are going to be far worse over the next few quarters. The rights issuses phase has passed so where are the banks going to get this money to lend. That means reduced lending and in turn big falls in price.
This isn't doom and gloom. This means affordable homes for families and lending to those who are most secure.
Yes stabalisation at affordable prices is good and not doom. Only then we will see recovery.justpurchased wrote: »I just can't see the point, there are some hardcore whingers who just pick and pick untill you blow up. Sorry must put one thing to bed before I go. Purchased a new build 30% off (against land registry same size house same road. One of the last builds stock house) Put a 30% deposit down due to my last house sale.
I could have done STR but could not justify the family disruption.
If i lose my deposit (due to a massive HPC) so what, it was money I never earned it was from the sale of my previous house.0
