Sell Xmas cakes on ebay

That's great, I too use the Delia recipe for mincemeat (a bit less sugar tough).
The only thing to remember with the flour is that it's plain flour, you need to add baking powder for sponges. My friend said that the nicest tasting cake that I made with it was a chocolate flavoured Victoria.
The Broadlands gluten free suet is from health food shops0 -

Good lord! I didn't realise people sold food on ebay. It sounds like a minefield. Can you imagine selling something and then the buyer contacts you to say he or she has food poisoning...0

On the run up to easter I sold a basket with cream eggs in it to someone abroad who couldnt get Cadburys chocolate.
I've also seen wedding cakes on ebay and also a chocolate gateau once.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040 -

(also bought my pooch some handmade doggy biscuits once, he adored them!)"Stay Wonky":D

why just old-stylers??
wouldn't this be a good opportunity for anybody to make money on ebay?I am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards. I agree Glad.
There were a couple of other threads which were moved from here lately because they would benefit everybody, and some people complained that they wanted it moved back because they felt more comfortable in OS.
OS is just one part of the forum, not an exclusive area.
BTW I love it, it's just a shame it's seen almost as a separate forum.Bulletproof0 -
I realise it would benefit everyone. I thought about putting it on the ebay bit but after another think I thought the OS board were probably best at making cakes. Sorry if I stepped out of line. I won't do it again.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

Hi blacksaturn,
I don't think you've stepped out of line at all, in fact I think your idea was an excellent way of making a bit extra for Christmas.
As other's have suggested your thread could be of benefit to other mse users, I'm going to move it over to the ebay board, but I'll leave a redirect on this board so that it's easily accessible to Old Stylers.

I'd be the second..I am a coeliac too, although I find the M and S gluten free one quite edible.
Now, before we get our wrists slapped by Abcon :eek: I think we should get this back on topic. Ebay have very strict rules concerning the sale of food items and many auctions get pulled as they do not comply with all the various rules regarding labelling and health and safety etc;

Food is even on the questionable items listings so be careful if anyone does decide to list anything and pay particular attention to the fact that ebay require all food items to be guaranteed next day delivery, which will make postage very high.
