DCA's in general don't reply to letters or email - they like to threaten you over the phone instead as they can't threaten in a letter as it's evidence!
1st Crudit were a pain in the butt with me for a while. They've been quiet for a couple of months since I spouted to them in a letter that they were breaking the debt collection guidelines and I listed every point. However, I am expecting them to kick off again soon - can't believe they'll leave me alone for much longer!!!Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free
Mortgage free since 20140 -
1st Credit are notorious for this. I am still trying to find out what the debt is they are chasing me for and they are not responding except with threats. If you are making payments and are using a recognised debt agency, even if they do get you to court it is unlikely they will get anything.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Ok still no letter so i phoned them for the reference number. they gave it to me and told me i had until the 17th to pay the full balance.
Phoned CCCS with the ref. number to get the payments amended but the guy did not sound overly confident they would accept my arrangements.
Is it worth me firing of a letter or email to say i want all communication in writing from now on. dont want the hassle/stress of phone call, not if it is going to make me ill again.0 -

Please. You have requested a CCA and it has not been sent. Legally this debt is in dispute and Ist credit are breaking the law if they pursue you for the debt whilst it is dispute. Tell CCCS to hold fire until the 12 working day deadline is up. You may not have to pay anything.debtman2007 wrote: »Is it worth me firing of a letter or email to say i want all communication in writing from now on. dont want the hassle/stress of phone call, not if it is going to make me ill again.
Did you not do that previously? Yes and it is really important that you tell them you have been ill recently. It is agains toft Guidelines to pursue someone who is vunerable. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
