GOD HELP TO US ALL THROUGH THESE DREADFUL TIMES.

God help us all indeed especially if the education system produces such poor spellers as yourself!

LOL, thanks Carol, I was just about to get to it, promise (I was making a mug of tea).

We the undersigned protest most strongly against move to offer first time buyers a 30% loan for buying new build only homes. It is submitted that these measures are both unfair to those first time buyers and buyers who have been saving responsibly and to those selling their private homes and irresponsible for the housing market to have prices artificially supported, to encourage unsupportable loans, to make these offers on newbuilds (reportedly over valued by approximately 30% who's the best reference for this d'ya think?).

Alright, I've given you all something to rip to shreds and rewrite....do your best (why this task fell to the person who struggles most with written coherence on this board is worrying ;) )

    Brilliant. Thank you.

OK - firstly - do petitions really start with 'We the undersigned'? Just asking.....

Not sure about the use of the word 'unfair' - it sounds weedy and a bit like a disgruntled child protesting that 'it's not fair' (which it never is...). It's not that it's unfair that I object to, it's that it's bloody criminal throwing the hard-earned taxes of the prudent down the drain to bail out the imprudent.

But you can't write that obviously.......;)

Sorry - sure someone will be along with better ideas soon.....

Play gordon at his own game i say!

Claim for everything you are entitled too, spend your savings on a flash motor, MEW a few times then apply for help with your mortgage.

At least you will get some of your hard earned tax back.

As i have said before the government need to keep out of it and let things naturally correct. Gordon the Brown Nudger wants to help the majority of the uk who are "homeowners" "house builders" and "banks" to win votes for his sorry a$$.

Carol, why don't you quote making changes as you go, so that we have a working draft? Next person (should one appear) can do the same with your draft etc etc etc.

Yes....I stumbled with unfair, I'm a strong believe in life being unfair...but then, I fancied a whinge too. How about replacing with 'It pelalises...............' (I googled and penalistc isn't a word...shame, I quite liked it :o )
