what does gb and his cronies think there doing!!???

What on earth does G.B and AD think there doing!!!! helping out house holders who have got in over their heads thinking it wont happen to me!!! boom n bust wont happen. . This country is already strapped for cash and now where going to start paying out billions to people who are having mortgage problems!!!!

for one, why havent people taken unemployment insurance out with their mortages??? for one this insurance is about the only one worth taking!!! what excuse can you have for not doing, its your roof over your head for god sake.!!!

dont get me wrong i dont want to see people homeless!!! thats awful. but why should taxpayers be forking out even more. and lets have it right do you really think the government are doing this for the people of G.B. no there doing it for the banks!!! so they dont get into even more trouble. and another thing is the stamp duty, that for one wont help alot of people selling property as a hell of a lot of homes are over this 175k threshold. but again look at the new builds right, one of their insentives is to pay stamp duty, so again this isnt to save the people of G.B money oh no well done MR A.D your saving the builders money!!! arnt you!!!.

I mean for god sake, talk about propping the housing market up on match sticks!!! its bound to burn down. Banks have to take responsibility for lending more than people can afford in the first place 3.5 x single 2.5x joint should never have been disregarded. 5 x n 7x joint and single in some cases (northern rock for instance) Should never have been allowed.

And another reason we cant afford to be paying out for this is people need to be responsible for their own actions this is just Nanny state. basically saying to people dont worry if you cant pay your loan we will pay it for you. AND AS FOR HAZEL BLEARS (im from salford her constituency) Just because you buy a house doesnt not make you decent, or mean that people renting are not!!!!

This country is bankrupt recession its worse than that and it isnt going to get any better. reason being is people are being layed off there are no new jobs , and yet were still letting a flood of migrants into the country . its all wrong what has happened to G.B as we all knew it 15 years ago!!!!

GOD HELP TO US ALL THROUGH THESE DREADFUL TIMES.

They want to ruin the country before the Tories take over. It's a bit like Hitler in his bunker with the Allies advancing from all directions in 1945, he didn't want to hand over a functioning country to the Russians, rather a ruinous wreck.

I thank thee!! its nice to think i can say what i like and people understand me for once.
  • Agreed. It's a futile gesture and its a shame our money has to be used to make it. At least the Great British Public (apart from a few dimwits) don't seem to be falling for it and are giving Mr Brown the right old raspberry.

My concern is that after the inevitable failure of this scheme, the government will try some last ditch socialist lunacy like nationalising the banks or something...

What GB is trying to do is save his own skin, that i'm afraid to say, is it. Saving the country is a very distant second in his priorities. Unfortunately he his going to be remembered as fondly as Neville Chamberlain when he signed the Munich Agreement in 1938.

    ...

My mother's (very lovely) plumber just told me to pull my finger out and buy because prices might be coming down in Birmingham but they won't be coming down in London or here (where Wessex meets SW ) . His friend is a mortgage adviser and he says so. I smiled wryly and said I think it has more to run, or at least some stability to gain before we risk everything we have and then some on shakey ground ....he thinks I'm wrong, I think he is.

He went on to tell me about the Telegraph headline today.

ETA: also, people on the main house bit, some don't seem to have even noticed the news. At least weekly some well meaning person tells us not to hold on much longer and to buy now, now, now. Huge swathes of people seem to believe that aart from having to beef up your mortage claim a bit times can't be better for FTBs.
